I have 2 and love them. I've is a plain blanket that I sleep with over my hips/legs ... The other is a weighted wrap which I can wear over my shoulders when sitting, or lying

I find that the weight helps to take the edge of pain levels, especially the skin tingly/on fire type pain I get. It also helps my restless legs . Unfortunately doesn't take it away completely

My late husband was given one as a present, he didn't have fibro but he didn't like the blanket either, to heavy, restricting, claustrophobic and it didnt help him sleep any better, shame because it was very expensive.

Your answer helped me a lot. I'm claustrophobic and I think that blanket would be too hot for me. I guess I will not get it.

Hi.

I have one and I love it. I find when my legs are cramping or in spasm, it helps loads. Really helps apply pressure. I would say only use it when you feel like you need to, I feel overwhelmed by it otherwise.

Good luck with your new blanket. X

Best present I’ve ever had. Felt the benefit immediately.. got to make sure you buy the correct one for your weight and also make sure children don’t use it. I love mine and can’t wait to get under it. I have seen an improvement in sleep but still I wake up although not as often. Like everything fibro related what works for one person may not work for another. The only down side - difficult to wash .

I love mine, for some reason it seems to send me off to sleep a lot swifter than using an ordinary blanket and I don’t move so much so don’t wake up in agony because I have been sleeping in an awkward position that make one of my problem spots flare up. If you shop around on line you can usually catch a good deal.

Hi Mille21, I have a weighted blanket an love it. I try not to use it all of the time and I don't know how it works but it definitely helps. I hope you get some benefit when yours arrives

Hello

I’ve just received my weighted blanket. I tried one out last year but sent it back as I had problems lifting it. I’ve now got one a bit lighter . I’ve not tried it yet. They are so much cheaper now as well. Soon as the weather is a lot cooler I look forward to snuggling up with it . I have had fibre nearly thirty year although I think I had it in my teens. What drives me mad is the sweating and constant itching . It always gets worse at bedtime. I’ve had mini strokes a heart attack and lots more even the really bad pain but nothing is as bad as laying trying to sleep thinking bugs are crawling over you. There is not a part of my body that doesn’t itch . I was told the weighted blankets are good for fibromyalgia so I’m hoping the weight might curb the itching . I’ve tried so many different things so fingers crossed .

I have one from John Lewis and I love it. Has really helped my sleep as it stops me moving around and it is definitely calming too which I find helps the pain and anxiety. It needs to be 10% of your body weight. Though they are heavy to move around!

I have the feeling it's not for people who suffer from claustrophobia.
