I was diagnosed with RA in 2008, then around six months later consultant said I had Fibromyalgia as well. Over the years it’s been difficult to distinguish between the two to be perfectly honest.
For the last maybe two years I’ve been getting really uptight regarding certain noises, that in truth really make me quite angry.
Also my ears which I’ve had drained many times due to wax build up are causing me lots of problems as well.
It’s not just the ears my head goes into a spin feeling spaced out almost as if I’m not there, dizziness also accompanies this as well.
Even driving a car a short distance has a detrimental effect on my head as well.
Does anyone else have these sort of issues, to be honest it’s getting me down quire a lot.

Hi, many people with fibro are sensitive to sounds , and it might be all sounds or only certain types/situations.
The ear wax build up is unlikely to be associated with fibromyalgia. There could be many causes, and depending on if there is anything causing it (often there's not) that might also contribute to your dizziness.
I have a condition called BPPV (a form of vertigo) which can cause your head to feel as if it is spinning, even when you are sitting or lying down.
It sounds like it might be worthwhile seeing your gp and maybe getting a referral to ent consultant x
Yes, sometimes I get a kind of static sound in both ears at the same time and it also has a pressure feeling that comes with it. It makes me feel spacey and dizzy, and I don't like to drive or anything when it happens. It's awful, it really knocks me around and I have to go to bed.
This happens to me too. It's not nice at all. My life at the mo has come to an abrupt stop. My gp doesn't know how to help anymore and are not treating me right, in fact no one is treating me the right way. Feel very sad and alone, but I'm my own worst enemy! I'm not kind to myself , I fly off the handle at the slightest thing. I've lost EVERYONE who was important to me. I really am alone with not just this condition but several other conditions. I'm stuck and I only see one way out. I really hope you can find some way out of how you are feeling. I feel for you I really do but just keep going, I dont know how I am still here, but i am! Keep strong my love xxxx
Mine was opposite way round with RA in second.I agree with you that it is very hard to distinguish between the two at times and even the doctor can't tell. They say I am complicated saying well it could because of this or that.It has given me tinnitus so get the whistling and shushing noises and sometimes I can be hearing things that my husband doesn't which makes me nervous when laid awake at night.
Yes the spaced out feeling n pins and needles etc.I can be fine one minute then off balance and woozy the next. It is so annoying.I seem to collect extra ailments then shift them I font know about you.Not sure if you are a music fan but listening to it with extra volume can help with extra noises
