Morning, I do seem to be very sensitive around these areas which for me I’m guessing is the fibro but not experienced any swelling , I do think to ask for a call back from your doctor to put your mind at rest. Most surgeries are taking phone calls and arranging this whilst under lockdown. Xx

Thank you. I am currently waiting for my mammogram results to come back. But I will give the gp a call on Monday.

I've not been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia but have been experiencing pains and aches for the past 8 weeks. Trying to narrow down what it could be.

with this sort of thing your doctor should really be seeing you for a thourgh investigation.

On going

Hi

Yes, I do think your Dr should see you. At our surgery they speak to you over the phone and then if need be ask you to come in. There is no one else in the waiting room, one receptionist and the Dr who is suited and booted. I do hope you get sorted soon. Please let us know the results of your mammogram. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx 😘♥️

Can I ask you about costochondritis as i've been getting a tightness across my chest left side, sometimes a dull ache, feels tender to touch the muscle there sometimes to. The pain can move up near my coller bone, down my arm, across my shoulder and behind my shoulder blade.

Hi indigo78,

I recently had a surgical investigation for the very same symptom as I have ms. It turns out to be lateral chest wall syndrome, or costochondritus if you prefer real terms. It's where the muscle comes away from the bone and remains loose around the chest wall. It can cause symptoms of pain, swelling around breasts with no sign of lumps, bumps or cysts. It can cause the feeling of lumps, or as if you are catching your arms on your breasts as you move. Not too much of a cure as such but anti inflammatorys help, coupled together with rest. Breast place to visit is the breast clinic, well worth it and will give you peace of mind x

Thank you visited breast clinic last Tuesday and waiting for results. This all started about 7/ 8 weeks ago. Breast consultant said he couldn't see or feel anything clinically wrong after he examined me didn't seem bothered about the pea size lump I said i could feel in my left armpit..🤔

I'm going to ring the doctors on Monday about the lump again. I've heard costochondritus mentioned by a few people here. How do they diagnosis it?

Yes , I do little swollen nodules that are painful. Worse with a flare up. I’ve been sent for mammogram- came back clear and I was told it’s part of my fibromyalgia. I get worse if I’m fighting off something- a little virus , cold , sore throat etc and the doctors say it’s that xxx always best to check though

Hi, I have regular problems with pain & swelling under the arm & also in the chest wall area. The doctor referred me to a specialist on one occasion, as it became so bad. I too was told it was probably due to Fibro. I was told to cut out coffee & take evening primrose oil to see if it helped. Sometimes I am unbelievably tender before I even contemplate putting a bra on. Sadly all part & parcel of the condition I guess. I am so pleased to hear your tests came back clear & wish good health in the future.

I've cut out coffee and tea the past 4 weeks as I found it gave me heart pulpataions after years of drinking it.

Odd how these things just seem to occur.

in reply toindigo78

Yes, it's strange isn't it? I have costochondritis diagnosed by my Dr.. love and hugs Lynne xxxx ❤️🤗

May I ask you about costochondritis?

I'm wondering whether I have the same thing. How is it diagnosed and what were your symptoms?

in reply toindigo78

Hi

Sorry for late reply, I've not been too good today but that's no excuse!! How are you feeling today?

Anyway, my symptoms are severe pain either on or under my breast bone. My Dr diagnosed it by what I told her and by examining me. Take care and stay safe. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx ❤️ 🤗

Hi I don't have in my armpit but I have had a swollen lymph node on the back of my neck for a number of years now and it swells when I have an infection as I suffer with foliculitis, when's it swells it can be tender and sore. My doctor said it was a swollen gland and nothing else. It can be irritating at times and I'm sure its one of the reasons I get sore heads. Hope you get sorted out with the doctor xx
