Me too. Optician has no idea what it could be. Has done it for years.

Vivid scary dreams are very common for me and just now they are more frequent, maybe it is a fibro thing? Stay safe xx

Sometimes. I think some people do get this sort of thing. I've always had it. Sometimes I can close my eyes in a dark room and still have the image with the full beam of the light. I have always had strange dreams. You think you have woken up only to find you are actually still dreaming. Always have scary dreams that as a child frightened me but I don't think anything of it now. xx

wow, im actually not alone! I have had some disturbing dreams, most of which i have to say since i have been on Sertraline since 2016, but i had one particular one and i can still remember it like it was just now: I was out just finished work in school (i was a TA) and a man tried to approach me and the next thing i knew i had him dead in a wheelbarrow and i walked home with him in it and my husband was laying a concrete floor in my dream and he hide him in it, but the next day in my dream i thought i had woke up for real and went to my husband and told him i dreamt i killed someone when i spotted a set of fingers poking out the dried concrete and he said no its true! I was frantic, then the police arrived im not sure why but i was panicked they was at the door when i woke up for real, and i actually was really upset and thought it was real, i think because in my dream i already thought i had woken up! I get a lot of driving dreams, a lot of confrontation dreams and some seriously weird ones, where one minute im driving a fast car the next its a little tykes peddle one for kids! And as for the seeing things, we all believe in different things, but my previous house was intense, i had boo spoken into my ear, i had my PC chair pulled out from behind, i saw a man walk into my kitchen and disappear, i heard one of my children get up, walk downstairs and a gap time for a wee then i heard then walk back upstairs - i thought ill check incase they dont feel well - they were both fast asleep and in contorted sleeping positions? I also had a night where i got woke up to the fire alarm at the top of the stairs screaming, i was standing under it and all of a sudden it was silent, nobody else had heard it! - when my dad was in hospital dying, my step mum didn't tell me and at the time we had fallen out over a moonpig card - halfway through that week i dreamt i was in a drs waiting room and i looked over and my dad was in the queue in abut 5th place, he called me over with a hand gesture and hugged me tight, i didn't know at the time why? then a few days later, i had chest pains and discomfort in my chest, me and my dad both have heart problems - the next day my husband took a call to say my dad had passed away the night before at around the same time i had chest pains and felt unwell! i have had a few dreams about him since, and i took the dream where he called me over and hugged me as him saying goodbye and making up with me - i have had strange things and dreams since a child! xx

That's really strange our brains are so powerful and our emotions my dreams are all about passed events that keep reoccurring probably part of the PTSD x your not alone pal

Often, when I'm on the verge of falling asleep I see a place I know really clearly as though I'm there! It could be a place I've been to recently or somewhere that I haven't been for years! Very strange but kinda comforting somehow xx

Hi Lauren1987, I have always had very vivid and bizarre dreams when I am trying to go to sleep I see shapes I’ve actually jumped when I’ve seen them I have dreams with my mum in them a lot that leave me feeling very low when I wake, and from being a small child ( junior school age ) I have had a reoccurring dream about being a resistance fighter being chased by nazis lol x

in reply toEmk68

Really odd isn't it our brains are very powerful I won't even post the dreams I have or il get locked up in a asylum 😅😅

Hi, yes. When I close my eyes to go to sleep sometimes I see loads of faces, different nationalities, sexes and ages (a Reiki master said they were my spirits checking in on me) I also see colours come and go mainly blue and purple sometimes yellow, then other times I see pinpricks of light, like the night sky. My optician couldn't answer why. I do have vivid dreams sometimes reoccurring sometimes picking up an old dream and carrying on. I put these down to the cocktail of meds I'm on. Either that or I've totally lost the plot!!! Hope this helps Lynn x

That's interesting, i was told at an Aura cleanse session that i have trouble going off to sleep? its apparently due to the spirits im open to that keep trying to communicate with me and i have the powers but im unaware of how to use them, i was told to say a very kind message when i get into bed to the spirits saying that i love and respect them but i need to rest now and that i will be open to communication again tomorrow? Another thing i have noticed over the years since i was a teenager i will be trying to go off to sleep and all of a sudden its like the sound of extreme drumming starts in my head and gets louder and louder until i just cant cope and it is actually painful - i do have an AVM in my brain and i asked the consultant if it is anything to do with that but he said he has never heard of that? xx
