I hoe you are all safe and managing your fibromyalgia, sadly i am not very good at moment, due my depo-madrone injection and because of the corona virus I cannot have it yet. I am hurting all over including now severe chest pain (Costochondritis) i have had this before this must be the 4th time. Sooo painful even to touch. Feeling pretty rubbish any ideas as to how I can manage until i get my injection?
Love and gentle hugs to you all D xx

Only thing I can suggest is heat. I put a hot water bottle on my chest ( not burning hot, obviously, wrap in a towel if necessary) and one on the my back. I take some soluble paracetamol ( only thing I can take, but I’ll try cocodamol if desperate) and try to relax.
It’s a horrible type of pain, I found it quite scary at first til I found out what it was. Oddly, I remember having the same pain as a child.
Thank you, I fell asleep for 2 hours yesterday cuddling a hot bottle. I never sleep through the day. Keep safe
Hi
Yes, I have costochondritis too. My son bought me a long hot water bottle Christmas 2018, it's brilliant, we bought another one soon after that Christmas.
I bought a chair massager which is great, it does my back, bum and thighs, it has a heat setting which I use as well. I'm on a lot of pain killers for my many conditions, these just take the edge off, without them I wouldn't be able to get out of bed in a morning!!
My husband was just like you 2 days ago pain with his fibro and in chest
Was worried about him yesterday
I decided to tackle all my crafty items in conservatory that has been in it as summerhouse hasn't been all sorted yet
I went through at 10am and didn't come out until 2pm not realizing how long I had been there panicked and shouted up are you ok to him saying yes thank God he got up 2 hrs later saying every part of his body was sore
Vapo-rub on chest and back? I have used in past flr.my A.S which affects my rib cage...also try to breathe through your abdomen/belly area...one hand on there can help or imagine a bag expanding when inhale and folding in when exhale x
