I have had such a bad time over the last few years but particularly the last 6 months.
I currently live in Edinburgh and I am looking for a therapist who understands what it is to have a chronic pain condition, but also someone who can help me talk over a number of long standing family issues that have been brewing for a long time, and I feel if I don’t start to deal with these soon, then it is going to cause me to possibly walk away from a few of my family, mainly my siblings, which is the last thing I feel I want to do but it is really starting to effect my physical and mental help.
If anyone could recommend someone you have found success with then I would be very grateful. Trying to decide on one by reading an online advert doesn’t make this very easy.
I currently stay on the south side of Edinburgh but will be willing to go anywhere in edinburgh to see someone.
Many thanks, and I hope someone can help me.

Unfortunately I do not know anyone in our outside Edinburgh, but will ask around a bit. I am sorry that you are going through stuff. I know how it feels. If I can make a suggestion, give yourself permission to take some time off from your family, say about two weeks. Let them know beforehand that you are going through a tough time and need some space. Even make up something until you get yourself at a better place.
Hi there I've posted a link I'm not sure how far this from where you live edinburghclinic.com/consult... I've read the lovely reply from nita7 , yes I agree sometimes you need to take a step back although your siblings possible don't mean to make you feel this way but unless people live with these conditions it's hard to explain and properly right now you don't have the energy , put yourself 1st hope you find the right help it looked like there was more than one consultant at this clinic. Take care xx
I am so sorry to read about how you are feeling. I agree with the other you need to have some time for yourself. I see from the other posts that there could be some help there for you. Please take the opportunity to make contact with someone and it could be off great help for you. Ajay lives in Edinburgh and he might know off somewhere that can give you some help. Bless you sweetie and we are always here for you to speak to. I truly hope that you get the help that you need. Take good care of yourself. Love and hugs 🤗🤗🤗🌹🌹🌹xxx
Thank you for all your lovely reply’s, your advice is very helpful. Having some space from them sounds like a good idea, although not sure how easy that would be but I need to get my head sorted out. It doesn’t help that my husband doesn’t have a very good opinion of my family, because of what they have done to me.
I will try that link to see if there is someone to help, and I am also going to my gp to see if I can get any help from there.
Again thanks for all your help and I’ll let you know how I get on
