Pip short assessment

HI all

I've just had my pip assessment at home. It only took about 30 minutes, I was expecting it to take longer. The questions asked were not particularly probing and he didn't seems to want the details in depth of what I can and cant do. Don't really know what to make of it. What do you all think?

My wife's was only about 30 minutes and was awarded standard care and enhanced mobility. I put it down to a great amount of written evidence from various specialists and being totally obvious that she had real physical problems.

I'd wait for your report / award letter from DWP. If not favourable then act immediately:

Phone them & ask for copies of the Assessors report and all your paperwork. Say you are asking them to "look again" at your claim (requesting a Mandatory Review).

Then write letters saying the same (send Recorded Delivery ). Do this quickly, well within the time limit. Then request Appeal if necessary, again Recorded Delivery & act fast.

But first, wait for decision letter - might not come to this?

I don't want to put a downer on it, but mine took 28 minutes, (her timing, not mine) and in that time she decided I could sit at a desk for an hour or more, and awarded me nil points. I am glad she stated the length of time the interview lasted, because that helped me, at my appeal, with all the other information she didn't look at, to get enhanced living and enhanced mobility. Good luck, I hope your f2f was more honest than mine.

You can ask for the report in 3-5 days (unless you're in N.I.)
