hi Hidden , you say that youโ€™re taking Cocodamol between 2 and 4 a day. You donโ€™t say which strength. Even with the strongest strength 30/500mg you can take up to 8 a day with a period of at least 4 hrs between each dose, and if youโ€™re not taking anything else with Paracetamol in them.

All Opioids make you feel zonked out when you first start to take them, and generally this wears off in most people as they become used to them, but they are not the answer for long term pain, but are helpful for breaking the cycle of pain. Everyone reacts differently to medication, and some people can & canโ€™t tolerate even small amounts.

I would suggest that you ask your doctor for a Medicine Review, and also ask if there are any Fibromyalgia Coping Skills Courses in your area, or Pain Management Courses. You could also ask if you could be referred to a Physio, with a view to having Hydrotherapy which some people find some relief. Soaking in a hot bath with Epsom Salts helps a lot of people, and you can get some Lavender scented one for relaxation. Magnesium Spray is good for muscle pain, and using a Tens Machine also helps. Heat Pads, and hot water bottles also help with pain.

Pacing... all of us hate the word, it is very hard to do, especially if you are working, and have family commitments, do what you can, when you can. If you donโ€™t look after yourself you crash, and are no use to anyone.

Look after yourself.
