Hi everyone. I had my assessment this morning at my house. The lady was nice in her late 20s I think. She basically asked me the same questions that I had answered in my original form. She wanted to see my medication packets which she noted down. All the while I was talking she typed on her laptop. I think it went well. I was honest and did my best. She also asked me to push against her hands and a couple of other strength exercises. At the end she said had we covered everything. Which I thought we had. But now I realise I could have said I would try and go out more in the summer when the cold weather didn’t effect my joints so much She said it would take 6 weeks to get a reply. So good luck to anyone who is waiting. I was very nervous but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be xx

Hello now that the assessment is done you can contact DWP and request a copy of your assessment report then you can see what your award may should be but you still have to wait for the official notification letter.
If you intend to go for an MR then focus on the descriptiors where you think you should have scored points giving real examples of what happens or happened when you tried or attempt the descriptior your contesting.
Hi I am glad your assessment went well. I am due for a review in July and panicked already. 😥How did you get an appointment at your house? I would much prefer that than the mammoth task of getting to a centre. It nearly killed me last time and then the woman wrote I was perfectly fine and drove myself to the centre. I actually had a lift as it was 44 miles and I even fell over in the corridor of the centre. Finally got PIP a few months later after appeal.
Good luck 😉 as sounds promising. Have a good day. X
Hi. I think it’s the area I live in. I don’t think there is a centre nearby. Glad you good the decision you deserve 😊 xx
Dont forget to ask dwp for a transcript of the assessment for which you are entitled.
Its surprising what they write about you & just what little experience they have of your condition
