Fibro once diagnosed

Found when diagnosed whatever you suffer from thereon - which you yourself know is not fibro it takes many visits to doc for them to accept.

HI Circuitrunner, i know what you mean iv had a pain in my left kidney and went A&E lastweek and after 3 half hours only 1 test (urine) they said its muscle pain but everyone knows their own body and this pain is very different to any other muscle pains iv got it is so fustrating.

I have this problem now, every new symptom I presented with is Fibro. Little point in going anymore.

Persist Cazie you must - due to me doing this I have had two ops which have had nothing to do with fibro. Now waiting to have sizing done on left foot so they can make something to put inside the shoe to enable me to walk better - again nothing to do with fibro. Yep you are made to feel like a hypochondriac - keep strong and if you are not happy you are entitled to a second opinion.

There are still many doctors who really are at a loss how to cope with fibro patients. It still is a field struggling. There is a consolation over the years the pain clinics have taken chronic pain on moreso and have the knowledge and facilities to use. So go for it.

I've attended a Chronic Pain service and for psychological input it's been fine, but they are very clear that they will not entertain your physical complaints and needs as you have arrived at their service having already been assessed. Any new complaint I've chatted about, it's always been a case of "go back to your GP"

I experience extreme bone pain and in a letter back to my doctor it said "patients says she has 'bone pain". So I asked my GP about it and she said that it's most likely I don't have bone pain, I just think I do because that's how pain can work i.e. referred pain etc.

I can very much be sure that's it's bone pain I have, but no one will believe me.

So, not much else I can do.

I know where you are coming from - have they given you an MRI at all? if not insist. Also search for Dr who has a lot of merits - look for Anaesthetics[special interest in Chronic Pain. The more knowledge you can find the better - to be sure I have gone down many many years searching. At this moment in time I am waiting for appointment with an ANAESTHETIC SPECIALIST

fibro fog cazie I am a goon had already asked you in the previous ltr about MRI thats fibro for you lol. Although it sure is a debilitating illness - try not to lose your sense of humour sounds silly but by heck it helps in your own social surroundings. For family around you print out an explanatory explanation of fibro for them to read taken off the computer. For the ones that do not read it do not bother to try to explain!
