Well I didn’t get the dreaded brown envelope but a white one ! A letter from Capita saying the DWP has asked them to look at my claim to see if I need assessing and will let me know .Gulp !!!

This will have to be a home visit as I said on the form . Well I have got to buckle up in anticipation for what’s ahead of me !! I hope it will be Happy New Year because I need one heck of a good year !!!

Hi , that was really nice she let you see ! Was this recent ? My doctor said in his letter that I would need a home visit and I put it on the claim form so hopefully they will allow it .

Ah right ! I can’t hoover and tidying up my carer does it .

I need so many things near to hand I have a long coffee table right in front of me so she will just have to accept it !!!

The DWP have asked Capita ! Of course Capita are going to say you need an assessment - thats how they make their money.

I rang both DWP & Atos when a friend got an assessment notice within a year of the last one despite having an incurable illness. They both claimed the other was responsible for the assessment dates.

When we looked at the transcript from the previous assessment Atos had advised DWP that another assessment would be necessary within 9 months due to needing more medical evidence.

There was no more medical evidence to be had. Just a tactic to get paid for another unnecessary assessment by Atos & DWP lets them. So much for the "light touch" for chronic illness.

Next move is to inform local mp. They have to be aware that the persecution of the sick & disabled is merely a money making machine funded by the tax-payer
