I am 22 years old and I am very scared that all of my problems may be my doctors are overlooking Fibromyalgia. If so, how would yall bring it up to them. I feel like they are starting to think I can never just be okay, at this point.

Hi
So sorry you are struggling. I might be being thick here but do you mean your Dr hasn't mentioned fibro ? If he hasn't you could ask him to refer you to a rheumatologist. You are 22 and it's not fair that you are suffering so much at such a young age. Pm me if you need to. Please take care of yourself Lynne
She has not even thought of it. But I am almost sure it is... I know that it is not good to diagnose from the Internet but I have at this time and if it could mean some relief that would be amazing
Firstly a diagnosis of fibromyalgia is only given when all possible causes for your symptoms have been ruled out. I would keep a diary of symptoms and next time you see your GP give it to him it may help in a diagnosis and referral to a rheumatologist.
Hi,
I am sorry to hear you are suffering so young. I am 20 and so I understand the frustration and annoyance of feeling this way so young. I’m always here if you need a chat. Hopefully you get some answers.
Gentle hugs
B xx
Definitely get a referral to a rheumatologist as they will diagnose fibro. Hope you get some help and answers. Love and peace 💕✌
My pcp is going to get me to do a pain diary and then we are going to look into medications to start with and if nothing helps she will send me the rheumatologist
Carefully. Gps are very precious re self- diagnosis. I found fibro via google. So far gp had only given me vitamin d for my pain. I was taking paracetemol & ibruprofen myself & mixing them with alcohol. I just suggested it at a consultation & was referred to a rheumatologist. I think the alcohol bit pushed him into believing i was in so much pain.
