Pip reassessment?

I suffer from osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and sjordens syndrome, I had a pip assessment last year and was granted only for living not mobility, felt grateful that they had recognised I was struggling and left it at that, as I know many people struggle to get the acknowledge and any award, but in the last 12 months my mobility has got worse and I really struggle, but worried to get reassessed in case they then decide to also take away the living allowance side, do they reassess everything or just the mobility side? the little amount i get from them really helps as I ve had to cut my hours at work. Can anyone advise????

I had reassessment after new condition that was seriously effecting my quality of life, I had Standard Daily Living & Enhanced Mobility which I used for hand control Motability car which I had from when it was previous benefits & had just picked up my 15th car. My gp suggested I should get more help with daily living & supported me with a great letter.

I also was given option of taking part in trial of dvd recording interview which I thought was brilliant as then no one can say you did or said things you didn’t & id get a copy of dvd also.

The nurse who was my accessor was very offish when I tried to tell her what Lymphodema was & how it effected me she said I do know what it is I am a nurse, but many people didn’t know what it was, she kept cutting me off when I was trying to explain, or if I couldn’t remember word n was trying to get word when my sister usually realised what I meant. Also having had both knee caps removed when it came to some of the exercises I said I am not refusing to do them, I physically can’t without causing excruciating pain.

I had a feeling I’d have problems once I had copy of accessor the n following award notice. It said I did all exercises without problem, didn’t struggle for words or nerd priomtjng and many others as a result I was only awarded Standard Mobilith & no care, which also meant I’d lose an extra £400 a month with the disability premiums that were added to my ESA.

I immediately called to say I would be appealing & stated 4 or 5 if the worst areas when my answers or actions were recorded incorrectly having gone through the dvd and found maybe 30 from massive errors to minor ones but still incorrectly recorded, well down right lies.

Compiled letters being as polite as I could stating time on dvd and what error was. During this time I’d already had letter about return of my car but having called them and they saw how many years I had been a Motability customer they agreed that they would allow me to keep car until I had the reply to my appeal. Nearly 3 months of feeling even worse thinking how do I manage without a car with my mom & sister living a30 mile round trip away & neither driving. Because it was one of the first appeals they had on dvd evidence no one really knew who was dealing with things. Eventually I was awarded my original Standard Care and Enhsnced Mobility and back dated those benefits and re instated & back dated Disability premiums on ELA also. It was the worst 4 months I had gone through and stupidly honestly believed that if they knew they were being dvd recorded they would at least record honest replies, but of course they know the people who make the decisions are not going to watch all dvds though I’m

Not sure how many people took part in trial or if it will ever be taken up as a real option for everyone.

I wish you well with your journey down the re access

Don’t road and hope it is as smooth as possible x
