Four months ago, I had a boating accident. I fractured my tail bone and had a strains and sprains in various places on my lower back. I was not able to move very well and I was in a lot of pain. Now, I can move more, the pain seems to be a bit more manageable, at times, but is still there. Because of my injuries I was not able to sleep in my usual position and my upper back, neck, hip and shoulders feel as they have gone out of place. I find it really difficult to sleep as I can't find a comfortable position and the pain wakes me up. I can't move once in bed which makes me feel trapped and anxious. If I make the wrong motion I get a sharp pain on my back as if I had broken it. It is also quite difficult to get in and out of bed. Sitting down is also painful so I try to walk around but I am exhausted! I am not sure if it is now the fibromyalgia which is causing me most of the problems or the injuries. Has anyone had broken bones or strains which made the fibro worse?

healthunlocked.com/fibromya..., morning I do have a slight fracture lower left of my back it’s the one place that kicks off if I do more than I should cannot sit up right in one position for long either, I think once you’ve had a break/fracture that place in your body won’t feel as good. Sorry to hear of your accident. The place I get most comfort is on my mattress a v shaped pillow and feathered pillows, I do use a bio freeze gel, sometimes my hottie on the spot as well. Take care xx I’ve posted a link if you would like to lock your posts as only our community can see.
