Has anyone applied for the PIP and actually received it? I’m just curious to know. Happy Easter to everyone. Xxx

If you think you need PIP fmauk.org has a benefits adviser that does Monday(not bank hols) and Friday mornings. Benefits and work do an great guide on how to fill the form in. You have to join to download guide but well worth small outlay. The points you get on care and mobility build to give you an award. However most people end up having to have a one to one assessment by DWP agents such as Atos.

Yes. Please look at the Benefits and Work website, and complete a dummy (trial) form. Please remember the PIP award is not based on your diagnosis but on your personal ability to do certain every day things(make tea/coffee, transfer it from worktop to table, and then sit down and forget why you sat there). Oh yes, don't forget you had to go to the shop to buy it and then bring it home and place it in the cupboard.

When completing the form please state what you can and can't do, not what you would like to be able to do.

Hi

Yes, I applied and got standard on both, I did have an assessment but didn't have to appeal. Hi for it and good luck. Love and hugs Lynne xxxx

Yes I got standard on daily living after a battle and a mandatory reconsideration

Good luck

Yes I have enhanced for both elements I never even had to appeal it was granted first time for 4 years but they review early so expecting them to contact me next year so just gearing myself for a fight as I believe it is getting harder and harder to keep it even though I suffer with more conditions and my issues have worsened it sad that we have to feel like we are in trial all the time but I guess nothing is going to change for a long time

I got Enhanced Mobility on the initial assessment but no Daily Living at all. But I then got Enhanced Daily Living on Appeal and kept my Enhanced Mobility award. When you are filling in your forms, you might find these Guides helpful:

Hi bev yes it took me weeks to complete make sure you take into consideration to each question how you are able to do things...%% of the time of majority of time I spend in bed! and not the majority of the time you are actually up !,

I receive PIP and before this i was on DLA, i have never so far had to appeal for any of my claims

Was awarded enhanced/enhanced back in 2014 mainly based on my mental health, had a pip review assessment on the 4th, not sure how that went, will have to wait and see... ugh...

Phone DWP and request a copy of your assessment report on receiving you can work out what your award may should be but you still have to wait for your award notification letter

Yeah, my anxiety is at the point where me getting the report is making it worse! I know I need to do it so I know what is what and to see if I need to speak to Welfare Rights about an MR. I think my Son said he was going to call and ask today for me.

You have to request an MR yourself then follow it up with a written request giving the reasons why you disagree with the assessment report focusing on the descriptors that you are concerned about .

Welfare Rights have said they can help with MR's and tribunals if needed, you can get help from other people :) Let's hope I don't need to do one though! *crosses fingers* thanks for the advice, hope you have a good day :)

I was previously on DLA and received the same rate when moved to PIP much to my surprise as I had expected a battle. Good luck if you decide to apply.x
