I wish I was with you! I traveled solo to Seattle a 10 hr flight. Experience says keep your meds at same time so discomfort at a minimum. Get up and walk length of the cabin now and again to combat stiffness, wiggle toes and ankles when sat down. If you can stretch arms above head regularly to help your back. Depending on time of flight try and get some sleep even 20 mins is a bonus.I am quite gregarious so I tend to make conversation. Enjoy the stuff a break away from routine can bring. When you are there get loads of images to play back on the homeward leg to make you smile and laugh. Have a fabulous time!
How exciting, try not to worry and focus on the end result....seeing your OH and being in Seattle!! skit gives some good advice. I flew last year, only 4 and half hours each way, but I was surprised at how easy it was x
If its of any help, I often request an isle seat, to make it easier to walk and stretch when needed. I stretch in the back of the plane. Also while seating. Helps to take a long bath before and after your flight, with bath salts. Make sure to stretch before getting on the plane. Enjoy your travels x
I travel a few places since my stroke in 2014 and definitely would suggest walking as much as possible in flight. Plus flight socks. I can also be seen at the back of the plane stretching for 20 mins every couple hours.
And usually I try to walk around at the airport gate rather than sitting.
Have fun!
