Hi I believe you are able to see anyone in the country when you are based in England. Different for Scotland I think. I am in Essex but see a gynae specialist in Oxford, and I’m going to a Fibro clinic in London next week too. This is a private clinic but funded by nhs. So don’t see why you wouldn’t be able to, research where you want to go and ask the secretaries to sort it out for you. Good luck!
Hi there, welcome to the group I would say the best person to ask would be your GP or maybe your Surgery manager. I don't think we have an automatic right to be treated where ever we wish. But things have changed so much who knows the only way to find out for sure is to ask the people who do know. After all it would be your GP making the referral if it is possible I hope you get the answer your seeking and you find the Fibro clinic helpful

Hi, you can find the names and specialities of the rheumatologist and neurologists on your Trust website, you can also search by hospital.
Once you have the names of the doctors, look them up on google (name + rheumatologist or neurologist + county name or hospital). If they do any private work, they will list their specialities and any research they have been involved in. It is usually more detailed than the Trust website.
I was diagnosed by a neurologist, rather than a rheumatologist, so that may be an option for you.
You can be treated in neighbouring Trusts, you just need to ask. Some services may not be covered by your Trust for example, neurology and they will have a contract with a neighbouring Trust to provide the service, which is what happens where I live. My GP told me to do some research and let him know where I wanted to go. Since we moved here, I’ve been to hospitals in three different counties.
Anyone can ask for a referral to Guys fibromyalgia clinic.
You have a legal right to choose where you are treated and your GP can refer you to any NHS funded facility in the UK. See this NHS leaflet
