Hands
Compression gloves might help if it's your whole hand including fingers. If it's thumbs and wrists then you might want to try Support with metal for them and they grip around wrists. Let me know if it's thumbs and wrists. I'll try and find the ones I'm using now. About my 5th pair now. But I have EDS as well.

Hi- my gp tells me its arthralgia,, to releive the pain I bought ISOTONER GLOVES these are lycra compression gloves- if you have a physio ask them for a pair, otherwise e bay sell them, dont be tempted to but from abroad-not as good... in between times I lay my hands in warm water pat them dry then apply voltarol gel like hand cream, (this opens the pours for the gel to get into) , certain parts of my hands have flaked the skin a bit but without serious consequences
I have been struggling with painful hands too and earlier today I ordered myself some compression gloves and started using voltarol gel. Sounds like I'm doing the right thing! I will now try following your tip of putting my hands in warm water first.
This used to be my worst pain area. Best thing I have ever done wrt pain is to give up diet coke and anything else with artificial sweeteners in eg yoghurts, puddings, other soft drinks and squash. It stopped the pain within a few days. Worth trying if that might be useful?
