Hi everyone. I haven't posted for a while, trying to deal with everyday life etc.
I am struck recently by sudden & severe head pain, not headache, but sharp, piercing pains. Anyone else have this?
Balance is another problem, worsening. Had to stop bus because I had to stand & dizziness + motion made it impossible to continue. I also find if I have to talk a lot or contend with noise, it's as if my head were a balloon & air is depleted by all the noise, echoing around inside. Am I going mad or is this part of our condition?
Many thanks and love to hear your thoughts, experience

I would mention this to your GP. It may be connected to your fibro, but it could also be a problem with your inner ear. Your GP may be able to give you something to help. x
Hi there, it could be vertigo. I would make an appointment to speak with your GP. I have vertigo and it is horrible you have my sympathy.

Hi. Thank you for replying & advice.. mentioned to GP a month ago but it's getting worse. Was in fatal accident 11 mths ago & had head injury but scans say all is OK. I'm back at GP this week to discuss this as balance + the Empty head thing (like all oxygen sucked out & then migraine) is bothering me. But, it bothers me that most is put on the list of Fibro symptoms when actually, it just might not be. I know we all have this issue.... its not helpful for us with individual symptoms. Thank you & take good care of yourselves
I have had the head pain for years. Had all sorts of treatments mostly physio but to no avail. I do find it comes back if I overdo things. Had to stop shoulder stretching above head as this always brought it on as well. Neck is painful as well but the head pain is the one I dread.
My shoulders and upper back are always very sorry and painful.
I am terrified of seizing up so I try to do stretching every few days. I did some gentle stretching on my bed last night and was woken up in the night with bad hip pain and now this morning I am limping with the pain. I had to give up my yoga class as I was always in more pain afterwards, especially my head. Seems we can't win.
Hi TK, sorry to hear your are suffering at the moment. Unfortunately all your symptoms are related to FM. I have the exact same symptoms on a regular basis. The worst time for me is first thing in the morning when I feel like I have clubbing all the previous night and been left with a terrible hangover. I wouldn't mind if I had. Usually takes me 2 hours to come round in the morning. If I try to rush it I suffer all day long. I find paracetamol helps. However, if you are unsure always best to consult GP (tiresome I know). All the best.
