Bad day today coming off pregabilin

I have had a horrible day today. The sweats and diarrhoea joy, it's not something that I have eaten because for the past few days I have hardly eaten anything. I will be so glad when I am off these tablets. I know that they do do some good in some people but I am not sure if the side effects are worth it.

Hi I have had so much problems with drugs especially pregabalin I am now drug free (about 18 months now) I just take the odd painkiller and a sleeping tablet now and then to play catch-up with my sleep - my diet is healthy (no processed , minimal sugar, gluten free, fish and white meats ,veg) -, I still get pain but it's manageable I have to pace my life and I just couldn't cope with the headaches tummy problems weight gain and "not being on this planet" effects of the drugs - good luck. I'm another that can't cope with the prescription meds. I've had such bad reactions over the years -- to HRT, statins then high blood pressure meds. That was the worst, over a weekend shaking, dizziness, breathing difficulty. Was the GP interested when I went to report it? Not a jot.

I was too wary to try any of the standard prescriptions for fibro so will never know if they could help...

From what I've read here, you'll have a tough 5-7 days then it should get easier. Drink lots of fluids, might help flush things out. Rest all you can. Good luck.

Im coming off it as well. Be sure you are going slowly. I am now taking one every other day. Then every 2 days. Etc.

I had to reduce from 450mg to 350mg and it was horrendous. Would like to reduce further or all but do much pain.thing is we get dependant on these drugs.you accept them because you have pain but get worse trying to come off.my body has got used to it now and no zombie state .it's embarrassing as people look on you as if you are drunk or on something harder.

When I came off gabapentin I did it v slowly but had similar problems to you, but after about 3 days I started feeling much better. Take care .

I take 2 tablets 4 times per day and they have no side effects on me Sorry your suffering Wish you well soon.
