Re-mission from Fribromyalgia is connected to the gall bladder

I find that we have so many linked health problems I'm also on a Fribromyalgia Support Group on Facebook thanks to them I've learnt a lot now today some other links was do to gall bladder one person had theirs removed since then ME has gone

I was recently in Hospitallots it was thought I had internal bleeding was taken straight into Triage my blood pressure was extremely low I had the halo with oxygen which wasn't enough so I was given the mask in a heatwave as soon as I put it on it misted up

I was asked who my next of kin was firstly my ex-husband it was my daughter who had recently changed her phone number she was on holiday as was my other daughter in the end it was a gallstone stuck in my bile duct I had 30 days of remission could hardly believe the old me was back extremely happy had lots of energy but sadly my re-mission has come to a end but having read about the lady who had her gall bladder removed which had some infection she also had re-mission I've shared this with my contacts on Facebook I've also read about night driving I've always had a problem night driving so for me its not a link to the illness however the gall bladder is interesting I've suggested to the group we need to find a pharmacal Company who are trying to find a cure for Fribromyalgia if we share information to them of similarities it might help them find something useful ideally a cure but 30 day remission is better than nothing the scientist are working in the dark We need to be part of the Scientist chemistry working to find a solution from the horses mouth lets face it gallbladder has given excellent results for re-mission I've been referred to have my gallbladder removed put it on the back burner to much going on in my private life now thinking if its removed I'll be free of the pain & fatigue. I think today has been a positive taking learning from Health unlocked to share with others on Facebook. I was at deaths door even the chaplin was called it was chaos all around so he told me he would see me some other time just a gallstone if we keep inter linking with other groups I 've tasked my Facebook friends

on my own chat line to go forth find a Company who is working trying to find a cure hopefully there is some Company wanting to find a cure for millions of us they would make a lot of money. I don't mind if its just re-mission better than nothing plan a holiday knowing your going to be fit enough to enjoy

Hi, good to hear that you have had some relief from your fibro symptoms, even if it was only temporary. However, there is not any evidence that I am aware of that links an improvement in symptoms with getting your gallbladder removed. Xxx

Nope. Pharmaceutical companies make way too much $$$ off of fibromyalgia patients.

An independent research group is our best bet.

Hello lindyloub

I personally think it might be due to the blood loss that may be why you had a period of remission but might be wrong ........ I have heard others with ME who have had a blood transfusion in the past I seem to recall saying they had remission too. In ME this might be due to the theory that it is of viral cause (see link) as postmortems have shown ganglionitis and therefore a latent infection causing further symptoms......

How that relates to your experience or your diagnosis of Fibromyalgia I wouldn't like to hazard a guess as more research needs to be done.

Hope you find this interesting

Like Alibobs and Stephen 111, I found no relief of symptoms; in fact the only thing which improved was the nausea which was a symptom of the Gallstones. The gall bladder doesn't produce any hormone or secretion; it exists purely to store the bile produced by the liver, and release it when we eat fatty foods.

We can live perfectly well without it after a short period of readjustment after surgery. Sorry to destroy your hopes, but if there is improvement it won't be down to gallbladder extraction.

I hope you find something which helps you soon.

Not wanting to pour cold water on you hun- having your gallblader removed is major surgery, the drugs you will have been given along with an anaesthetic;would have eased other pain for a while, recovery from a cholycystectomy is slow as your body has to adjust to working differently (the gall bladder does serve a purpose), nice you had some fibro releif, having to contend with both would have been hellish.
