Esa stopped

Hi everyone

I’m just wondering if I could have a little bit of advice , I’ve been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia plus other things and I have been so pleased that I have got back to work last November. And was able to claim Esa

I went to my assessment and I’ve received a call to say it has stopped !

I push myself so much to get to work the two 5 our days now , that I’m absolutely shattered when I get home .. so I feel like it’s a slap in the face !

Has anyone got any advice as I’ll struggle financially without the esa and I’m not able to work any more days - although they feel I’am . I think my positive attitude didn’t help my assessment.

Hi what about PIP ? that is'nt means tested as Ajay has said get in touch with relevant sources, they should keep you right.

Good luck. x

ESA is tricky. If you can work, you won't qualify. Eben Permitted work is a way some keen folks come adrift because if you can do a stroke of work you no longer qualify. Better look at pip see if you can get that instead. It is very harsh n stressful to get help. Folks that don't need it wouldn't bother

They did the same to me. Sorry this has happened to you. You make an effort like they want you to and they don’t give you ESA. Hope you get it sorted. Xxxx

Thank you, I read through all my paper work last night . I was on support group esa as I have a little job of 10/12 hours a week - which I push myself but enjoy .

It’s just annoying and I feel that they punish people for trying to keep positive, try their best xxxx

Appeal. Many people win when they appeal. The mandatory DWP reconsideration is usually just rubber stamping the assessment, but you have to do it to get to tribunal. Send in every thing you get - GP letters, any referrals, prescription list, etc. And challenge every thing they put in the report that isn't correct, or missing information that you told them.

My assessment report had lots of errors (lies), and part of my evidence at the tribunal was that I could not have said two of the things the doctor claimed because they were in broken English. Eg "she stated that she has the ready vegatables.". [Spelt as shown here.] I'd actually said I used ready meals because I could not cook for myself. A minor point on the language but it helped show that he did not understand and record me correctly - more importantly he'd left out the part about me not being able to cook.

I went from zero points at assessment to 24 points in the tribunal - at which point the Judges decided they didn't need to hear any more evidence, even through I hadn't covered all of my multiple health conditions, as this already gave me the maximum award at that time.

Not what you're looking for?
