Hi I'm 29 and I've just been diagnosed with arthiritis and fibromyalgia. I am a hairdresser and love my job but it's started to effect my work. I can cope with pain but it's the fatigue and dizziness I can't deal with its getting me down. Does anyone have any tips? Thanks.

as Jackiejack123 has said, pacing yourself and rest is very important, if its possible, can a high stool be used at all in work, taking the stress off the legs, just a thought

Thank you. Yes I use a stool but I then find myself sitting with my back bent and I get back ache haha can't win.

Maybe look at something that will help you to stop bending your back (not sure how comfatible that would be ) or use a chair with a back on it, so so have something to put your back against, hope you find somethings that helps

May I suggest planning certain hair appointments that take longer maybe at end of your day so you can go home and rest afterwards?or whenever you feel best.

I wish I had some words of wisdom or magical cures to give you. I’m sorry you got hit at an early age with this thing. I have had it for 27yrs. It hit me when I was pregnant with my daughter, I thought it was high hormones good for her bad for me but I felt better after I had her but felt something was off. I was working at this time but over time the fibro fog and fatigue was interfering with my work as a home health nurse. I was diagnosed in 94 and by May of 95 I had to give up the ghost on working. I was self taught to cut hair and did that on the side and still occasionally cut hair but my endurance has gone down. All this said pace yourself, listen to your body, be putting as much money into an IRA or some kind of retirement savings account. That was something I wish I had known while I was still able to work. I know this disease sucks big time but being kind to yourself really helps and taking it easy on yourself. Stress makes the symptoms worse so elimenating as much stress as possible from your life. I wish I could be of more help here. There isn’t a magic cure believe me I have tried just about every supplement out there and gizmo that made logical medical sense in hopes of finding a cure. Maybe if I had unlimited funds something would have worked but I was limited on funds. Sorry for rambling. πŸ˜ŠπŸ’•πŸ¦‹πŸŒΈπŸŒΏπŸ™

It might be a long shot but my friends mum has arthritis and fibromyalgia and has been using an Arc4Health device for Microcurrent therapy. I think there are different kinds not just that one, but she's back to work looking after horses. She also mentioned that due to her conditions it look a bit longer to work but she swears by it. Just a thought...
