Appeal! have decision reviewed. Look at Benefits and work web for very good and proven advise . To be honest PIP is an easy target for 'savings' for HMG. Forum will support you know that all the way. The statistics tell us that many who are refused get award higher or what they had last time at very least.

Best wishes

Hello angieskye ,

Don't panic and don't give up. I suggest you make an urgent appointment with the citizens advice bureau. They will talk you through your next step. They also have a great deal of information about PIP on their website. They helped me with my PIP application . I had my face to face last week . I have been told that many people successfully appeal..

good luck xx

Please appeal.go to your local CAB and they will advise you. Also contact your MP.

The so called health professional I had my assessment with told blatant lies-he claimed I was seen to lay papers on the floor and sort through the said papers whilst seated .Funny that as my papers were in a bag on the table in front of me!

He also claimed that I walked my dogs miles across fields when I live in a town and many other lies .

So sorry to hear that you’ve been refused pip. Please please don’t give up, fight it all the way. With all the inaccuracies in assessor’s reports being reported by claimants, shouldn’t the government do something to rectify the situation?Personally, I think the whole thing should be scrapped altogether. It’s not helping anyone, just a bl..dy waste of money. Stay strong and when you’re feeling down, you’ve got the community here to support and encourage you. Sending you big hugs and kisses.

I think the gov't likes it this way, honestly

Yes they did same with myself basically go through appeals then if doesn't work goto your local mp,you could also contact the BBC third doing documentary about benefit s the now.Dr Wilson assessor was completely patronizing talking to me but actually it was better for me and harder for him to keep it up,he's a disgrace in how he talks to ppl he wouldn't allow me to refer to my carer about times and dates so I couldn't tell the info which suggested to me that he never really wanted to know and it was just going through the motions,I felt very intimidated by him when he raised voice to tell me not to ask my carer,my b.p was up so much that I was dehydrated and my lips were sticking together cause of dryness and he never let up,welfare rights person was with me and she only answered one thing!that was to do with her parking!!!!!.they were going to refuse me before I even entered the room!I phone house of Parliament and they said goto m.p and that its all changing in next 2_3years that the manner in which they speak to the mentally I'll especially has caused suicides and lots of attempt s!

Fight

Find a specialist doctor that does reports for insurance claims etc. Pay him/her to do you an assessment and report saying you need PIP approval. In other words don't just be armed with your own GP doctors report, Be better prepared and appeal.

Start you list NOW of all your symptoms and what you cannot do/ find difficult.

Just wondering if you done as you say and went to private doctor . Would they not tell you you have to wait for report until they get your past records from your GP or NHS I do remember when my son was young and had an accident the solicitors firm involved sent him to a private clinic in south London even though he had been in an NHS hospisal after accident and the private clinic that done report for court. After all that barristers settled the case outside court just before court date

in reply tomattjoachim

No we do not have PIP in Australia. Just a disability pension which I assume is similar thing. But I know of someone who did this and got her own medical report to submit with application, as you can choose your own doctor here.

in reply to

Personally I have four specialist drs and surgeon for my different issues that will never go away but they never contacted one of them oh and my own gp.its disgusting isn't it.

I read an article on disabilitynewsservice a couple of months ago that said they were only contacting doctors in (guessing here) 10% of cases?

First ask for a Mandatory Reconsideration. If outcome the same Appeal to the Tribunal.

Angie so sorry to read this. Have a look at Fightback 4Justice you pay their expenses and they won my appeal in 2014. They handled my PIP claim too completing my forms and I got my award without mandatory reconsideration or appeal. Good luck x

Hi, Is it expensive to have Fightback 4justice to help with your claim? My sister keeps telling me to claim PIP but when I read some of the things you have to go through I'm too scared.

in reply toJackIsabellesnanny

Have sent you a pm hun xx

in reply to

Message sent. I have no worries telling anyone about my experience with Fightback4Justice, it was so nice to have all the stress taken away. I will not have anything bad said about them either.

In 2014 Fightback won me DLA, I had applied for it myself and they turned me down and also refused on Mandatory Reconsideration. I appealed and this is when I got Fightback4Justice on board, the founder and some of the staff are legally qualified. All the court paperwork was daunting but F4J handled it all and eased the stress of it all. There was a panel of 3 people and someone from DWP at my hearing for appeal, it was daunting... my fightback representative did most of the talking and we won the appeal. I was awarded for life but then again since, the Government decided to take away DLA and make everyone apply for PIP.

No appeal or mandatory reconsideration this time though, F4J filled in my forms over the telephone in a 2 hour telephone interview. I received them the next day by post and sent them off. I had my face to face assessment and had a representative from F4J attend with me. I paid expenses for this as F4J is donation run. People like me who have had 2 success stories with F4J are willing to pay expenses for this brilliant service. Google Fightback4Justice and read the reviews... they are well recommended. Hope this helps anyone... you have nothing to lose by claiming PIP.

Good luck x

Im really sorry to hear this. But you must appeal!! Im certain they underscore people in the hope they will just except it. Fight for what you are entitled to and so rightly deserve. Im also goung to tribunal because like you my report was full of lies so much so i thought the assessor had me mixed up with someone else. Try and stay strong. Good luck xxx

Hi Angieskye - I can't offer any advice close to what others have - I'm in the states. But I just wanted to encourage you to NOT give up. This is something you are entitled to, and you need it. I honestly think that people count on making things so hard, so distasteful, and so depressing that people WILL give up. It's like my insurance refusing my pain medication recently because the doc needed to pre-auth it. I told the pharmacy to go ahead and contact her to get that done, but I was almost out. In the end I paid the $60.00 myself because I needed it before they could get all of that done, and THAT is what they depend on. They saved $60.00... So don't let them get the better of you. Sit down, have a tea or wine and rest, and tell yourself what you would do without that money... That will help encourage you.. Sorry - got on my box, but it makes me a little nuts when the powers that be pull this stuff =)

Hi, sorry that DWP have done this to you. Phone DWP ASAP and ask for a copy of your ASSESSORS REPORT, which is what the DWP, base their findings on. Yes, there will be lots of lies, assumptions, distortions and made up stuff even. This happened to me, but because I recorded the assessment, I went to MAndatory Reconsideration and ripped their reports to shreds line by line, or lie by lie.

I totally understand where you are coming from because I was so stressed and angry beyond words, that I fought it, simply because I couldn’t let them get away with their lies. You literally have nothing to loose by doing MR first. Then appeal if you don’t get that. We are all behind you.

Good luck. x
