Hi I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia 9 months ago after being in pain for many years. I am struggling with this as no longer in the job I loved and feel very isolated in my house. I think the hardest thing for me is not working but cannot find a job, I hope you are all okay xx

Hi there and welcome to our friendly forum , I hope you find it helpful to read and share with our members. Yes it is really hard I understand I had to stop the one job I loved which was gardening only a few hours a week but couldn’t commit because of pain . Have you any friends that do not work full time to meet up with ? Also any little hobbies clubs you could join , meeting new people when in conversation can often lead to a contact in the work place something might come your way entirely different to what you already do. I found not being able to work the hardest to deal with. It can get very lonely can't it ? I went to my local community centre and offered myself to them ! I have been running a sewing, knitting, quilting class for years now and have met some lovely people.
