Poorly ear

I got a bit of a strange symptom and a small but very painful problem. I have such a painful ear on my predominant side it makes sleeping difficult. Fybro of the ear would be laughable if it wasn't so painful. It feels bruised and really hot. Anyone else have this or am I the only strange one?

Hi mistee 7. πŸ˜ŠπŸŒΈπŸŒΏπŸ¦‹

I get this frequently. I have neuropathy and Erythromelalgia.

Both create pain the Erythromelalgia creates the red hot sesation. Sometimes the symptoms last all day. It really hurts especially in the cartilage.

Sooo sorry you are suffering with this hope it gets better/cured soon dear. The only meds I take is Gabapentin as I can’t tolerate pain meds due to GI complications.

Best wishes and prayers and take care

Thanks for that. It sounds exactly what you described. It's red it's hot and effects the cartilage. The cartilage feels like it has changed. Just like something has been nibbling on it. It permanently hurts now. I also take gabapentin amongst 17 other pills including morphine. Nothing stops it hurting though..πŸ˜’πŸ˜”

You’re welcome. I’m so sorry that your pain is permanent...ooooo I cringe at the thought of you having that pain permanently...you poor thing. Did you have your ear checked by an ear doctor??? If yes how about a dermatologist or neurologist???

There are procedures where they can block the nerve here in the USA. Oh sweetie I feel sooo badly for you. Oh I just had a thought have you ever had a steroid injection in your trapezius??? That might give some relief. Do you have neck issues like easy whiplash or loose joints from Ehlers Danilos Syndrome???

Morning if it has been going on awhile and is hot I would get it checked at your surgery for a piece of mind just to rule out an infection , take care x

I get that too. As you say, it's not a pain IN the ear but it's the cartilage. Happens on both sides so I need to turn over when it wakes me up to give that side a rest.
