I’m struggling with dry eye syndrome and uveitis
Both have similar symptoms but anxiety kicks in.

I to have uvittis it's a hard condition to treat .for dry eyes I use a spray from boots onto the eyes helps amy
For dry eyes I get Hylo Forte drops on prescription. If you get a doctor's diagnosis of dry eye you should get prescription drops indefinitely.
I also have hylo forte but it doesn't seem to shift the symptoms but back to using another drop (Optiv Plus) with hylo and ointment at night - plus advice on eye mask hopefully helps. thank you I hope you are having a good day
Isn't it odd how what works for one person doesn't work for another ? I find the Hylo forte is the only drop that works well and the night time ointment ( think it was called lacrilube?) really irritated my eyes and made them worse, yet others swear by it.
As always it seems to be trial & error to find what works. I might try the gel mask, too.
Hope you're having a good weekend, too.
I have sjogrens syndrome and very dry eyes are one of the many symptoms.
I find the best product is the eye mask I bought from boots chemist. It costs about £20.
You pop it in the microwave, warm it, lay down and place over eyes. Bliss! The heat helps lubrication by softening skin tissue etc..
Having no choice, needing to lay still is a bonus. I use mindful breathing techniques which combat anxiety anyway.
I can meditate, be calm, and have sometimes, drifted off to sleep (however, suddenly wake with heavy feeling on my eyes! Lol). No panic though. I remove mask.
I then use blephasol lotion (recommended by optician), and find this a real cooling comfort. Bonus being it helps keep bacteria at bay. Blephasol lotion costs £14 if I remember correctly. It does last though.
Good luck.
Blephasol will definitely sort the grit. If you can afford it, I would give it a try.
I was given an ointment and got a nasty bacterial infection. To my mind, the ointment created a lovely environment for bugs to harbour.
Blephasol is a clear lotion. You can see the crusty bits on the cotton pad! (Lol).
Wipe once from inner corner to outer corner then throw pad away.
Eye (or any infections are a no no!) care is serious stuff.
I'm not affiliated to blephasol sales. My interest is purely about others who suffer with eye dis-ease.
Take care.
Thank you for all this brilliant advice
I have blepharitis am waiting to see a specialist as all treatment has failed so far
I stupidly missed one night of ointment and the symptoms came back with vengeance. Lesson learnt. I do hope they get yours under control ASAP x
I have Blepharitis use blephasol. Also heat mask and massage eyelids to degunk glands. This time optician told me to change from carmellose drops to Thoelose duo drops. Much thicker to help eye dryness. Waiting to see if I can change prescription from carmellose to theolose.
