Hi 👋

Just had my medication changed from gabapentin to Pregabalin. Just wondering if anyone else has changed medication. Thinking of trying CBD oil x

hi jilly77,

i thought i'd replied earlier - but it doesnt seem to have posted. i had no benefit from gabapentin, but after i changed to pregabalin it made a significant difference. I also use cbd oil alongside my medications; and i have been able to reduce the amount of pregabalin i am taking .

weight gain was an issue for me - but the benefits of pain relief outweighed the negatives of the weight gain. xxx

Hi Hazel_Angelstar

I read an article about these two medications and now I’m questioning taking it. It was saying that it slows ur brain 🧠 down. Now I’m not sure what to do.

I've been on Pregablin for about - years now and it has really helped with the burning, knifing pain and does reduce my muscles aches slightly as well. It has made life just about bearable. I have bought some CBD oil but haven't used it yet. Everyone reacts differently to medication so it is difficult to advise how you will be it seems to be trial and error with all meds what suits one doesn't suit another. I would say I am slower thinking but to be honest the pain initially before Pregablin was so extreme I was on another planet. Fibro can slow the brain hence what they call fibro fog. I always think it is a case of weighing up the pros and cons. If my fibro was mild I would try to manage with just say pacing and dietary changes if the fibro is more severe often only medsmsill take the edge off it. I do have other health issues osteoarthritis being one of them so am in slot of medication and I think the combination of them all does make my thinking less clear.x
