Not Diagnosed but have so so many symptoms and pain, stiffness and weakness.

I am 42 and awaiting a Neurologist now to try and eliminate things, as since a hernia operation in May 2010 that trapped a nerve and had to go back under,and 5 screws were removed to release the nerve and being rushed in hospital, i have suffered numerous issues of really tight band round ribs and back and sciatica in both legs on and off and then my neck in feb 2011 which MRI confirmed disc on spinal cord compression on nerves but my symptoms have been so wide spread and on both sides that a 2nd MRI was done (not heard yet) and the Neuro surgeon in Dec 2011 said that the disc is not causing all these problems, ie had speech, balance, co-ordination, thinking, jumbling words (still have issues) my hands get so bad i cannot brush teeth or drive, the headaches are almost like timebombs, monthlys now are even worse than before. so many many things to mention and fatigue is bad wake up tired or do not sleep. I am self-employed and had to employ girls just to keep my work going incase i recover from all this nerve stuff. every wk seems on thursdays i awoke with new things and now its i dont know each day what i am going to be like its hell at times but i still keep on smiling and pushing on...is anyone else having these as i looked up all the symptoms and they all relate to either fibro or MS which i am very tender and chronic with issues. or unpredictable!!! ..

i felt like i was going mad for years and made to feel like i was making it all up until i got my diagnosis, it was such a relief. take care and hope you get the answers u r looking for x

to christine and dawny..aww thankyou! i take it you both got diagnosis for Fibro then? i went to see neuro surgeon and like i say he said that the disc thats compressing has nothing to do with the widespread symptoms and soon as he heard about my operation in may 2010 he raised eyebrows and i was refered back, that surgeon says he does not 'think' it is that (so does not sound confident) I am so praying the neurologist helps so that i dont feel like i am going mad and insane!! and typing in all the symptoms through out the past year has only come up with either MS or Fibro and i am scared! because neither is curable and it changes your life as it already has, emotionaly, physically mentally and the family what they have to put up with too, atleast i know of somewhere i can come and release the stresses of the days we have on us. like at moment i cannot even drive because my hands are so bad and my neck so stiff every part feels very tender to touch too. my hubby gave me a little tap on back and i nearly jumped a mile hahh..but not hahah cos its annoying but i am i found this site.. i wish you both also better days xxxxxxxxxThankyou
