Hi everyone new to the forum, currently been receiving esa support group for fibro and depression. Been 3 yrs now just received my renewal medical form to send back, am I likely to expect another medical face to face given my condition hasn't changed but more than anything gotten wrse! I really can't deal with these assessments they make my anxiety go through the roof also I never know how I'm going to feel day to day so the lead up to them really plays a part in it aswell. Not to worry either way just want to prepare myself mentally...thanks

Hi

Most do get called in for a F2F

if you put things are worse ensure you mention what is worse and how its worse

There's really no way of knowing, but include as much detail as possible, even if it's the same as previously. Note any changes of things that have got worse, and if you have any newer consultants letters, results of tests, x rays etc, include them. x

Get your self prepared and do your best that’s what we all do good luck

Hi. Unfortunately most of us have the same problem. Make sure to fill out your forms as if it’s your worst day not an average day and also if you do get a f2f make sure to take someone with you even if it’s easy to get to your meeting. It all adds up and at the end of the day the more points you get the more likely you are to keep your esa. Good luck.

I too have just reached my first milestone of 2.4 years and received a letter for renewal- I still get my benefits, I sent in a word document the same as my initial application along with new prescription details which you can get a printed list from your gp surgery,, I am please to tell you I got a 50p raise in my money-- whoop de f****g whooo,,,, as long as you have full backing from your gp and send in any new letters from consultants, you should not have to worry... I have actually taken early retirement but i still have to complete new ESA applic.. Good luck ..
