Gloria_carr I found out 17 years ago, I had history of ankylosing spondilitis, I went to rheumo doc as I was suffering pains in the same places although A.S was in remission, He told me it wasnt return of A.S it was fibromyalgia,, joint pain, muscles soreness,, the muscles at the tip of joints were the cluprits.

If its not symetrical pain usually wont be fibro as one arm hurts both will.same pain in each side.weight gain.fatigue.ave had it over 10 years and it seemed to be recurring infections throat and chest and loads antibiotics.bowel problems.anxiety.depression.list endless.its like your body is alergic to everything.

Evening Gloria for me personally it was aches pains throughout body , tender to touch and became worse if I tried to excercise or do my hobbie which was gardening , I’m currently on Duloxetine 6 weeks and finding helpful but dosent totally take away aches completely especially now I’m tryin to do alittle of my hobbie but it does relax the muscles, I find Epsom salts baths are really nice too. Most people comment that with the warmer weather it’s does also help alittle with pain levels which does make sense taking in some vitamin d along the way and warming up from a long drawn out winter. I hope you get some helpful replies from our members.

For me it was really widespread pain that varied from day to day & that wasn't always in the same place & also debilitating fatigue.

Could also be myalgia enphalitis M.E for short i have both and they overlap.everytime id go forward it was like be pushed back.i sleep to much or cant sleep at all.its a debilitating illness and some are saying auto immune.i have hashimotos the underactive thyroid.id get thyroid checked.when they do loads of tests and cant find anything then its fibro.im a shell of my former self.it started with elbow and knee pain.very fit to mostly bed ridden at times .hope it helps but dont suffer as it could be something else.

Hi Gloria

For me it was a completely dead upper arm and pins and needles elsewhere and oddly a red hot burning hand. All very strange. Only took from 1987 to a couple of years ago to finally get a label for the weird going ons!

Hi gloria have you seen doctor yet.try your best not to go on loads of pain killers as in long term they dont help as at first they help then they dont.yoga and medation might help as you are younger i got told 10 years ago i had it but it was there long before it can take years till they rule out most things.hope your okay.xxxx
