Sore feeling on my scalp.

I am sitting here as feeling in a bit of pain at the back of my head. Feels very tender. Hard to explain. Anyone have a feeling like this? I am sitting in the house with a bobble hat on. I have had a blocked nostril for the past couple of weeks along with my eyes feeling sore and heavy. The sore tender feeling is also on my back.

The sore tender feeling at the back of your head could be related to the similar feeling in your back. Both of them could also be coming from your neck. If you have a wheat bag wrap it round the back of your neck, or even a warm towel and see if it helps.

I hope you're feeling better soon x

I got dry eye syndrome as well. My antibodies, anti nuclear antibodies were raised and I had been exposed to GBV glandular fever. I suggest seeing an optometrist or walk in casualty to exclude dry eye syndrome. Hope this helps.

I would not self treat until you get an assessment done by an optometrist or ophthalmologist. Dry eye syndrome is often connected to fibro. It is very treatable but needs dealing with asap tbh.

Try not to worry.

I am being sent for a lip biopsy. My eyes do feel dry and I have always had a terrible dry mouth for years. Xx

Are they suspecting Sjorens syndrome? Have u been checked for any food intolerances such as gluten, wheat, soy, dairy aspartame/

Mandypandy1969 in reply toapplesandoranges21

I assume that's what the biopsy is for. I haven't been checked for any food intolerance no. xx

You can ask GP for referral to immunology . Alternatively get a test done privately for food intolerances Google gluten syndrome and gluten ataxia.

Are you near Sheffield?s xx

Yes it does. Only other way I can describe it is that it feels like shingles but I know it's not. Getting worried as getting worse by the day.

What happened after you had the test?

applesandoranges21 profile image
applesandoranges21 in reply toMandypandy1969

Saw a private Rheumy who did a double stranded dna test to exclude Lupus as raised anas can be indication of LUPUS or SLE.

He did a MRI of lumbar verterbrae as I had back pain and saddle numbness. he said the core muscles were wasted due to antibiotics, statins, lyrica, and low vitamin D. Told me to try Pilates to strengthen the core muscles. Still having pain with neuropathic pain I think caused by the GF . Also found a thyroid issue.

I would research all the drugs you have been prescribed or are taking and then discuss with your dr. He may decide to review these or discontinue under medical supervision of course.

I would start with your eyes. Dry eye syndrome has to be taken seriously. If you live in the UK then you could google Moorfields eye hospital, London where there are lots of expert info on dry eyes etc AND THYROID EYE disorder just to keep yourself updated..Then put on D3,

Keep fighting. A friend o mine with epilepsy had his benefit cut was going spare.

Ask for your Medical records, surgery and hospital if necessary, get a specialist to confirm your condition. These assessors dare not question a specialist.

Write to your specialist stating that your quality of life s impaired due to your condition and you are unable to manage without h3lp 3i6h basic tasks such as dressing, have to have assistance with showering and toileting due to loss of balance. All these things are what I live with. It is soul destroying and the stress imposed by this crazy 'system' adds to the problems immensely increasing the anxiety, depression and pain.

Don't hold back.

TYPOS. Unable to manage very basic tasks such as washing dressing without a substantial amount of help. Get your eyes attended to, your vision is precious. How can you even balance properly with this eye condition. Dry eyes can lead to corneal abrasion that is why it is VERY important to see a consultant ophthalmologist asap and get the relevant treatment. Dry eyes leads to blocked tear ducts, blepharitis ,headaches etc.

Don't be afraid just get the treatment you should be receiving. good luck .

Hi Don't know what has happened there in previous msg I mean!!!! Eye specialist prescribed lacrilube . However please, please never put anything in your eye without a proper assessment by an eye specialist. I have night blindness this means have to have a shimmer of light in the bedroom etc otherwise lose balance and fall over. The neurologist tests for it by getting you to stand up then shut your eyes. I immediately start falling/losing balance. I have mesial temporal sclerosis, scarring in the temporal lobe from meningitis as a teenager which took over 25 years to manifest itself as epilepsy. I also have fibro. Confirmed in a Report so DWP can argue with top specialists, good luck to them. I do not stand any messing about from drs, paramedics, nurses who work as assessors.

I do not like their callous attitude . It is immoral and against our Human Rights to be treated with Dignity and respect.

Getting off my orange box now!!!

I get this feeling too Mandypandy1969 . My whole scalp is affected and sometimes very tender to touch. I also noticed recently that I have unusual bumps on my scalp and at the back of my neck. When I asked a GP about it he said I had a mild dermatitis and gave me a shampoo ???? I also have very dry eyes and mouth like yourself. Please keep me updated about your GP visit. xxx

Might be a gland that has come up. I get that a lot when I am under the weather.

You could have a sinus problem, this can cause pain anywhere in the head, and make your eyes sore too.

Really, I have had a blocked nostril on the left side for a while and sore eyes for a while. If it continues, I will go back to g.p. But he said today it was probably the nerves in my scalp. It's on the right hand back of my scalp. Blocked nostril on the left. I do remember scratching my head quite a bit lately, it may even have been something to do with the itching. Who knows. I have a lot of itvhing on my boobs and nipples which has been going on for weeks, scratch so much it hurts. Nightmare lol. Xx
