Why is my head sore ?

Head problems My name is Theresa, for about two weeks now, The left side of my head and face is very tender ,sore to the touch I went to the doctor and was given Gabapentin 100 mg. I'm very curious to know what it could be.

I am so genuinely sorry to read that you are suffering and struggling, and it could be that you are experiencing anything from Migraines to sinusitis, or possibly even TMD? Unfortunately Gabapentin is quite widely used for many issues. I have pasted an excerpt below form the *britishpainsociety cache:

Sometimes we can have a pain in the side of the head/face caused by being out in the cold wind. I've always called this neuralgia. Could this be the reason you have this pain?

I was thinking neuralgia but as Ken said could be any kind of nerve pain from what you describe. Gabapentin is a good medicine for nerve pain. All the best
