Hope you are all keeping warm. I've had to stay at home due the cold affecting my fibro, so I asked if I could work from home. I thought everything was going ok for once only to get ripped into by my manager on the phone, there are two of us in my office but it appears that I am the only one doing evwrthinf remotely from home. I have now reached the point where I am considering giving up work due to my fibro and the fact that my stress level is so high. I'm really good at expressing my feelings so please excuse the rant I'm just so fed up. Gentle hugs 🙏

Fed up
I am sorry your having a hard time with your work place I can only imagine how stressful it must be for you. Giving up work would be a big decision. Would you be able to manage financially which would be at the top of everyone's list.
Of course if your health leaves you with out any other alternative there is not much more you can do.
Sometimes life can feel so unfair ((hugs)) Good luck xx

Thanks Dizzytwo, I've given a lot of thought recently as I seem to spend more time at home than at home than at work and its being picked up on. I got told today I have to be in tomorrow no matter how I feel. But I'll make sure I get as much advice as possible. Gentle hugs 🙏
Poor you Hun not what you need on top of fibro. Rest up hun. Xx
Thanks Stevejj I guess were all feeling the effects of the cold. Hope your also resting. Gentle hugs 🙏
Hi gothicmum,
Sorry to hear you are having a hard time and especially with your work.
I hope that when the time comes to make the big decision, it will be the right decision for you.
Soft hugs,
Mags 🌻
Bless you Hun, it’s the last thing you need when you’re trying to cope with fibro. I hope you manage to sort things out hun.
Please take care of yourself, wrap up warm and gentle hugs xx🤗🤗
Rant away! It is a big decision to give up work so make sure you are aware of all your options first. Does your employer know you have fibro - have you ever asked them to make any reasonable adjustments to help you do your job? Although it is not automatically classed as a disability under the Equality Act 2010, fibro might be treated as a disability depending on the effect it has on your daily life so in this case your employer has a duty to make reasonable adjustments.
If you need advice then ACAS can offer information on workplace issues, I have provided link below should you need it:

I have also provided a link to details regarding a number of work and benefit issues that you may find useful at some point:

In the meantime, we are here to support you and listen when you need to let loose. Take care and good luck. x
Thanks for the links Ramjets will take time to have a look. Employer knows about my fibro and gave me a laptop to work from home on days when I'm unable to go to into work, things kicked off today because my colleague in the office was not pulling her weight, so as I have been there longer and have more experience got told by my manager I should be on site. Gentle hugs 🙏
Seems harsh he was having a go at you for something your colleague is doing, or not doing as the case may be. It seems unreasonable to give you the option of working from home when you need to and then shout at you when you do. May be an idea to start keeping a written record of incidents like this in case you need to use them in the future. x
