High potassium levels

Well after getting bloods done yesterday , got phone call today to say my potassium levels were very high and needed to repeat blood test to make sure first blood work was right . So i am sitting anxiously waiting for out of hours to call me with my results , doc says I will only get a call if it’s high n then take it from there , so I will keep you guys posted , 🤷‍♀️

I have had this problem with a blood test this week. It can be caused by the blood test sitting around too long before it goes to the labs. I'm having repeat bloodwork done right before the lab work is collected, just to be sure. I wouldn't worry, high potassium doesn't necessarily mean that you have kidney disease.

Everything came back normal with second lot of bloods , thanks god .
