Hi all, I am new to this site, hope you are all as well as can be. Pulled my shoulder yesterday at work through wiping tables and stacking chairs repetitively. Although I do this duty everyday, work are short staffed at the moment so there was too much to do! hence now I am in alot of pain!

Can you tolerate voltarol gel on your skin?? Maybe invest in a TENS machine that is portable, I use both, Ive found votarol plasters (not heat pads) avail from Boots to order online, very effective, you can sleep in them too.

Afternoon welcome to the forum , yes short staffed means carrying the extra load and now you have more pain, have you tried soaking in an Epsom salts bath , they say on the pack that 20 mins normally absorbs the magnesium into our bodies , I do try and aim to do that once a day ?? Have you heat pad or hot water bottle to use I find that normal helps , some people try a tens machine as well. It's just me personally but I can normally use votorol or deep heat on my back shoulders that really helps, If you would like to lock your posts here's the link healthunlocked.com/fibromya... it will normally generate more responses from our members as onl y open to our members and not to just anyone on the internet . Look forward to see your future posts xxx

Thank you so much ladies for your replies, I will definitely try both the voltarol plasters and epsom salts. Went to the GP today who has given me some physio exercises to help. She did say it can take 4 to 6 wks to recover!

Not sure what to do abt work though whether to go back tomorrow? worried about the pain getting worse.
