Sleepless nights
Yes I seem to be suffering every single night, it’s very frustrating and incredibly exhausting. How are you coping with it Hun? Xxxn
I'm not. Feel so tired but only doze for about an hour. After about 3-4 Days I just crash from complete exhaustion but even then wake up tired
Same here with only dozing for about an hour. I’ve tried to sleep during the day when I’ve got to the point of complete exhaustion but as soon as I get comfortable enough to lie down I’m wide wide awake. It’s the same at night, as soon as I get comfortable then my eyes are wide open. It’s so incredibly frustrating. It’s the same with when I take sleeping tablets too 🤬🤬🤬xx
Hi I have been suffering for ages have tried different medication but just made it worst and I was getting nightmares, and then finding it hard trying to figure out reality to dreams! I am now taking citalopram 20mg and it seems to take the edge of things a little and I am gradually getting a better night sleep at times. It depends what I have done during the day and to the extend of how tired I am, but the more I stress about not getting to sleep the harder it is sometimes I just have to allow it and lay there which is hard x
Hi Iron-warrior, I suffer quite frequently with both, there doesn't seem to be a pattern. On the occasion I sleep for a few hours I put that down to sheer exhaustion. RLS and jerky legs are also a problem. 😐
Yes; my sleep never use to be affected it’s been the last year or so that it’s been really bad. I am so unbelievably tired but cannot fall asleep; everything aches and I cannot get comfortable! Absolutely hate it 😣😣😥😥
Oh yes hun, I suffer with intermittent insomnia so there are days when I could well audition for the cast of "The Walking Dead"! I have resisted medication as I am striving not to depend on this (I know this is not always possible for lots of sufferers). So I have tried all the usual things, no blue light in bedroom, no eating late, warm bath before bed, lavender under my pillow, Ovaltine with a tot of Whisky or Amerretto (yum) etc...Doesn't always work so I have accepted that being an occasional zombie is probably one part of fibro I will just have to learn to live with. Hope you'e not feeling too bad today. x
Both really hun- I think most of the members on here do, I dont work now-toook early retirement but I always feel like i want a nod around 2.30 each day and so I,ve taken to a short walk to stop me, I did sleep for a while last year and found it stopped my night time sleep, not sure if you would approve but I have a TV in my bedroom and I watch it until around 2.00am old programmes like The Bill and Londons Burning, news on 24/7 too, I suppose if you share thats not possible! Restless legs syndrome is a real problem, I have bought myself a gadget off ebay I,ll try to take a pic and show it, very cheap but I can use it anywhere, at night I take it to bed if I,m not sleeping and have a pedal for a while- it has stopped my legs being restless, I also have m y lower leg muscle in some tubigrip (good job I*,m not married I look like Nora Batty at night) Hope you know who Nora Batty was!
Deffinitely suffer from from restlessness for years before I realized its a common thing for fibro sufferers. Eventually it got so bad for my husband I went to my gp and asked for something to help me relax, He wasn't keen but for years now I take a low dose of clonazepan and this works a treat.
Yes, I do. I take Xanax or Ambien. It still takes awhile to get to sleep, trying to stick to 1/2 tab. . My husband with Parkinson's falls asleep quickly but then wakes often. He's beginning to make a lot of noise in his sleep and the dog does too. Funny. He's a white maltipoo. I sleep ok finally if I don't get restless leg or the dog decides he wants attention like going out at 3am. However, I do stay up that late at times in the summer. We're in our 70's And our sleep cycles change with age.
All the time.pain keeps waking me and I look at the clock and think "oh no" as it's still early hours.try and re maneuver in bed and nod off for a while and the cycle goes on. give up in end and get up
Yes about 3/4 a week
I'm using a sleep recording app. Over the past 3 nights I have averaged about 4 hours broken sleep (keep waking up for no readon)
This is a big part of fibromyalgia my wife's had fibro 30 years and more she doesn't seem to sleep at all kills me to watch her go through this hell
I've spoken to my gp but he's reluctant to put me on more meds. Latest blood tests (have 1 every 6 months to check liver function etc) have shown low vitamin d. Now taking supplements but still not helping with sleep.
