Certainly affects me but then again I’ve also had a benign spinal cystic tumour for over 5 years that means it grows every so often. I’m struggling with an outbreak at the moment along with being diagnosed with fibro for just over a year. This along with side effects of medication all affects lifestyle. Hope you’re ok Hun. Take care xx

I would say any long term chronic illness would have an impact on our lifestyle and changes are par for the course. It doesn't mean our life is over just different as we have to move over a little to make room to accommodate these lifestyle changes. Some of the changes for me have been for the better yes some have not been so good. But if everything remained the same we would not be dealing with illness. Life is what we make it so I try to make it the best I can within my limitations :) xx

Hi lindsey65, I found my life changed in many ways once diagnosed with Fibromyalgia. I had to find my own coping mechanisms which has taken patience, time and effort. 🙂

I believe that our illness does create changes; there are some things that you cannot do anymore unfortunately but it's not the end; there will be things you might never have done that you do now as it's a distraction; a hobby you take up to keep busy you might never have before! Also, you realise how strong; brave and courageous you are 💜💙

It certainly has changed my lifestyle. I used to be active and sporty, but I can no longer do any of the things which made my life fun, and, quite honestly I'm angry! With my body, for letting me down, just as I had decided to become a world traveller for my retirement. Even my ability to drive has been taken, due to eyesight failing. I hate and detest not being able to go out alone, or take part in any of the things I loved to do. I stay angry to avoid slipping into depression.
