Hi Mel263, I also love spending time with my two grandchildren. It takes me days to recover from a visit. I try so hard to just act like my normal silly self and then suffer afterwards. I don't know of any magic cures, just rest and de-stress works for me. Xx

Hi mel263, I know exactly how you feel. I'm a young nanny too who suffers terribly with pain. I've got fibro and cysts on my spine (that I've had 3 surgeries for). I care for my grandson for half a day and that's usually just once a week and it absolutely kills me, especially as I then do dinner for us all and tidy up etc too. It's thoroughly exhausting. Like you I feel that if I say something then I won't have as much time with my thoroughly gorgeous grandbaby. You'd think our daughters would realise the pain we're suffering but whether it's there ignorance or what it's the same every week. We have to find a gentle and kind way to explain how we feel and I'm sure they'd be shocked about it. Fingers and toes crossed that it helps lol. Let me know how you get on hunny. Take care and gentle gentle hugs to you xx by the way , I just take my usual meds and use a hot water bottle for my back at the end of the day and stretch out onto the sofa and that eases the pain slowly.

Unfortunately hun that seems to be the way that Fibro goes, I was babysitting my godsister yesterday and I am now suffering terribly for it! A lot of rest is the best thing and I always try and fit a film in as gives me time to rest in the middle xxx

Difficult one Mel, two of my Granddaughters 5 & 3 love coming for a sleepover, lots of cuddles, baking, painting, park, not all at once I may add. They have lots to play with here, but love the arts and crafts box best, sit for hours colouring glueing, sticking, taught them how to make cards, eldest can now make on her own. Quite time for us is also a film. Yes its very tiring, but they do lift me up. I can only do this now if my oh is around. Same as you, takes a while to recover, I love them so much as they do me, cherish my time with them 💖

Snap had grandchildren Friday part of Saturday no energy Sunday, then daughters 2 boys today, body and knees feel like I've been run over now off for Epsom salts bath off duty tomorrow, seems our bodies cope at the time and then the next day it's like someone switched the power button off. We all love having our grandchildren and rarely we say no but boy do we suffer afterwards . Rest in between the days and lovely soak in the bath at nite xxxx

Hello everyone thank you all for your replies and sharing your same symptoms so saddening to read and to live with my heart goes out to you all its a real battle but i guess we just have to battle on hugs to all🤗
