my Auntie Marge has been ill for so long now, that we've changed her name to " I Can't Believe She's Not Better."
Laugh Out Loud !!!: my Auntie Marge... - Fibromyalgia Acti...
Laugh Out Loud !!!
Lol bless her,that's great😀
I think me and Auntie Marge are related lol
It's just a joke ZacharyM. Don't want to upset anyone !!! I too suffer chronic pain all day, every day , like everyone else, but sometimes you just need to have a giggle. sorry if you thought I was being insensitive . Mandy
I'd tell you a butter joke but you'd just spread it !! LOL
Yes I've changed my name to. I can't believe I'm not better ha
I'm sorry but this did make me chuckle especially as her name is Marge as well lol. I don't think any of us think it's funny being ill but you have to keep a sense of humour in order to cope and stop yourself from falling into a big black hole. I always remember my lovely little mum and no matter how desperately ill she was, she would always crack a joke and usually at her own expense. I'm pretty sure it kept her and me from going round the twist. x
That's all I wanted to do. Put a smile on our faces. After all, as you say, it really does help to laugh , whether it be at a joke or at yourself. My dad is one of the best jokers. He [and mum] are still madcap now !! and they are in their 70's!! I am sure this is the reason that they look, and feel at least 10 years younger.
Growing up , we went to fancy dress parties ,always made our costumes, and had lots of fun. Dad still loves to put on a silly wig or something else he's got .On skype last night , he had an apron on with ladies boobies !!!! Mum takes no notice now, they both live with the pain of arthritis, and had replacement surgeries on shoulders, knees and hips between them, but still manage to keep smiling. I glad that I have inherited their strength and sense of fun.
So on that note........Question: What makes a man think about a candlelight dinner ?
Answer: A power cut. ha ha . Mandyxx
I myself cannot see a problem with saying that!! I am quite sure if you thought it was upsetting your Aunt then I would presume it wouldn't be said!! I am in constant at times excruciating pain and to be honest I don't care what anyone calls me!! In fact laughs are few and far between to what they used to be, and I would assume most people in constant pain and not being able to do the things like you had before, could do with cheering up with a good giggle but, each to there own.
