Burnt offerings

I have been struggling for a while now and it does get me down sometimes, I’m always forgetting things, like emptying the washing machine etc and tonight I put peas in the saucepan and turned the cooker on, when it came to dishing up I realised I hadn’t put any water in the pan.

It’s just so silly and if I’m honest scares me a bit too.

Hi, this sounds exactly like me too. It is scarey, my wife just treats it like a joke. She says everyone forgets things, but this is different. I have to write everything down. I have to check the front door a few times to check it is locked when I go out. I'm sure one day I will leave the door open or something.

Take care

David

We have left the door unlocked and had a 45 minute car journey back to lock it. Then back to the 5 van caravan site. Just glad we hadn’t gone 100 miles!

Perhaps you've inadvertently invented a new dish. Easily done the fibro mind doesn't need any distractions and if our mind is taken from the job in hand even for a moment we make a mistake. Could have been worse at least it was only the peas.I can't think of the time that I have lit the cooker and actually forgotten to put what I am supposed to be cooking in to cook. I can understand your frustration and I could scream that some days I have difficulty getting my head around the simplest of tasks.x

I think it’s partly down to the fatigue, I feel so exhausted all the time at the minute. It’s the usual story tired all day, can’t sleep at night. Xx

Oh I know that feeling I could cheerfully crawl back to bed but I know them once my head hits the pillow I will be wide awake. Have tried all the usual tips to no avail. I bet you are like me some days I feel like the Walking Dead.x

I once drained the spaghetti onto the cooker instead of the sink Have left the keys on the outside of front door and went to bed

It’s things we can laugh at afterwards isn’t it but at the time it’s very frustrating and worrying. I’m always doing something daft normally putting things in the freezer that don’t belong there lol.

hey I'm the same I forget to take medication that now my family phone me to remind me also I do stupid little things also locking my door is my biggest one xx
