hi im 49 but when i was 20 years younger say 1998 i started suffering with my feet i was over weight and they kept saying i needed to lose weight so i tried.

went to my doctors where they sent me to a foot clinic , they said i was suffering fallen archers and gave me insoles , these never worked i found a pair of tainners called easy tone they worked for some time i managed to continue to work for a bit and im ere again. i went doctors once again they told me i have spurs on feet and ankles with ware and tear athuritis , so been to bone spu removal and now they saying there is more to my pain than ware and tear and spurs so hes saying no opp to remove and sending me back to my gp to get refred to a pain specalist now . a freind said you could suffer with fibromyalgia o nerve pains . ive suffered 20 yr so far how much longe do i suffer till we know what it is .i cant work with it as i cant stand or walk long or even sit long . i suffer going bed while in bed n out of bed i just dont know which direction to go in i really dont, im getting depessed with it all im suffeing with out money because im no longer working.

Hello hoggard and welcome to the group. I am so sorry to read how you are suffering. Have you spoken to your GP about how depressed you are feeling because of the pain you are in ?

When did you last see a doctor? It maybe a good idea if you book an appointment and tell the GP exactly how you feel. If you find it too hard to explain Why not write it on a piece of paper and give it to your doctor. I have done this often in the past.

You may like to take a look at our mother site it has loads of very helpful information you may find useful fmauk.org. You may get more replies from our members if you locked your post. Here is a link on how to do this. healthunlocked.com/fibromya...

Do you take any medication at all ? I think you really need to go and see what your doctor can give you to help with your pain and lack of sleep. {{hugs}}

Hi and welcome to our happy little band. I have fibro and osteoarthritis like many other folk on here. I have had bone spurs removed in my ankles and it has made a great deal of difference. Recovery wasn't easy but now I am much better and my ankles do not give way anymore. Fibro and osteoarthritis are not mutually exclusive, it is possible to have both and I would recommend you see your GP and ask for a referral to a rheumatologist to discuss the possibility of fibro and also request that the bone spurs are dealt with too.

Good luck, hopefully some more helpful folk will be along to give you advice.
