Been having problems with depression and anxiety for a while and after complaining about pain for a few years was sent to see a rheumatologist who diagnosed fibro.
Can anybody recommend good sources of help etc. Also trying to deal with the DWP at the moment so any advice on how to deal with them would be appreciated.

Hello Andy and welcome Wondered what Things you need help with? There are support groups depending on where you live. But I do think they are expanding to a lot more areas. j x
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted for you below a link to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:
Hello and Welcome....I am sure you will find lots of useful advice here and helpful tips on coping with fibro. You say you feel depressed and anxious....have you spoken to your GP about this as he/she may be able to help you. If you are already on an antidepressant then it maybe needs tweaking.....Hope to speak with you again soon.....
Hi and thanks. Been on antidepressants for some time now and the were upped by the rheumatologist to see if it helped with the pain etc. Also on beta blockers to help with the anxiety. now also on Noradrenaline at night.
I just wanted to wish you a very warm welcome to the forum
I am sorry to hear that you have been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and that you are struggling with anxiety and depression.
Have you ever been in touch with the organisation called MIND? They can offer you a Project Worker to see once per week where you can pour your heart out.
They also offer courses that you can attend. The great thing is that it is all free. I will pop back and give you a link to their website.

Thanks for the info. Currently have a therapist provided by anxiety uk and the civil service charity. Will have a look at mind. Have a ESA tribunal early next week so mind is on that at the moment
Hi andyhayman - In addition to everything else, there is a "search" box top right that will restrict to the Fibro forum, and you can search for anything you would like. Almost everything from pain, to pain relievers, to depression to ______________ (fill in the blank) has been discussed here and would serve you well for answers. And of course, you can always ask. Here's sending you gentle hugs..
