So interesting to see all your posts. I have been to the doctors , they tested me for rheumatoid arthritis which thankfully I don't have. However I know I have something, a flare up day today and I'm floored, even the simplest tasks are so difficult. I'm on medication for arthritis and waiting for knee replacements. This pain in my body is terrible , I keep crying and that's not me.
So could you tell me how I get diagnosed. Thank you for listening and all the very best to you all😀x

If you would like to find out more information about Fibro have a look at our mother site fmauk.org
Unfortunately getting a definitive diagnosis of Fibromyalgia can take many years.
There are lots of other conditions that have the same symptoms, such as Lyme Disease, Lupus & MS. All of these conditions need to be ruled out before you can go any further.
You then need to ask your GP to refer you to see a Rheumatologist. They are the specialists in Fibro.
Good luck. I hope that you are able to get some answers.
Thank you all so much. I will go back to the doctor, it's been the worst day. Struggled to get dress ed and couldn't hardly bear the clothes on me. Just awful. Hopefully better day tomorrow. I will let you know how I get on at the doctors😘x
Hi Linnie, My name is Simon if it helps i have RA and have since gained fibro on top my advice for you is to get a second opinion on that as you may have something called palindromic RA which is random and not pain all the time. I have arm in brace because of RA having nerve problems and all sorts keep pushing if you get pain go to docs straight away and keep telling them your symptoms it took me over a year of pain till i did it i wish i did it sooner finally got a diagnoses of ra just waiting to confirm the Fibro
Your welcome x just keep pushing ok as it takes far to long anyway. Anything you can do do to speed up the process is a must ok. Best of luck to you another comfort is knowing your not alone in this try not to think its all in your head ! It is not it is real that was my mistake for many years x hope this helps you some what. X
