I HAVE FIBROMYALGIA

Hi guys. Ime a newby. Just joined this morning and have fibro.. not very funny at all is it, although my husband is very supportive, take a lot of medication for it as well. Mine was diagnosed in late 2011 so have had to live with it since then. I have fought pip for it cos couldn’t work, didn’t get anywhere so left me feeling very angry and upset. I now claim universal credits which helps. Please feel free to contact me.

I am sorry to hear you've been through so much, it is all so overwhelming and the stress can impact on any conditions we have, so I completely understand how you may be feeling at the moment. You should find the community a support network and for advice this should help you to deal with the ups and downs of living with Fibro.

As a newbie I have noticed your post is unlocked, you may wish to lock it so it is kept between this community only. Members often are reluctant to reply to unlocked posts and therefore locking it will generate more replies too. Here's the link which explains how to do this;

Also hello @manda1973 in-line this app everyone is friendly and helpful. I usually just have weird little rants but at least everyone has the understanding here and it means my husband doesn’t get it in the neck all the time 😂

PIP is proving very hard to get these days, are you going to appeal? There is help under "Topics" Work & benefits will give a question and answer senario to help if you do.. You got U.C credit then- well done there are so many who dont, remember the word"Credit" though.

Welcome to the forum. It is horrible when you can't work as I was forced to give up a job I loved and it is as though a part of me was cut off. So sorry you were unsuccessful getting PIP it is a minefield n who gets it and who doesn't.x
