Hi... typed red hot poker going from my shoulder into my neck on Google and this wonderful site came up. I go to a chiropractor who adjusts my neck but its only a short relief. Just reading the posts here and to know that I'm not alone in my pain, makes me feel better already. Think I'm going to ask for the steroid injection. This pain all day long is just so draining....and my job is physical so it has to come right. Thanks for being there.

Hi sengee1606
I sincerely hope that you are feeling as well as you possibly can be today? Welcome to the forum and it is wonderful to make your acquaintance. I have pasted for you below a link to our mother site, FMA UK which hosts loads of useful Fibro information:
I am so truly sorry to read of how you are feeling my friend and it may help to talk to your doctor to ascertain if they can tweak your medications a little to try and help you?
I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.
All my hopes and dreams for you
Ken
Absolutely agree about the change of personality. Years of chronic pain have rendered me fearful, stressed, less social, duller, less able to deal with setbacks. And of course bad tempered, unadventurous, self obsessed and not much fun.
When occasional days come when the pain dulls to a background hum it's like shedding the gloomy skin. Help help I am in here somewhere

Hi I had this and after seeing chiropractors I eventually went and had a massage and after explaining what the problem was it was such a relief she found the problem and eventually massaged the problem out. If I feel the pain coming on I book in for another massage.
Massages are a lot cheaper than chiropractors π
Good luck
Sengee - Take a look at the post I just put up. I have a Chiropractor, but when I went to the GP I found out that I sprained my shoulder - it is the same as what you are describing. Sharp hot poker pains. It might require something different, like PT or something... I would get to the GP to check this and verify that it really is Fibro...
