Hi mcglada0....I am so sorry you are feeling so much pain and weary of the whole thing!!! I think a visit to your GP might not go amiss as it sounds as if you need your meds tweaked or reviewed to give you some relief. When you say there is nothing medically wrong with you I am not sure what you mean. Do you mean that you had tests done for various medical conditions and they all came back okay? Most of us have been through that as it is the only way to get Fibro diagnosed to rule out other possibilities. Please do seek help and let us know how you get on....gentle hug xx

Hi there, mcglada0 sorry to hear that you're feeling so ill,. you say you feel nauseous I felt like this a few weeks ago I couldn't eat anything I felt really bad, and it was a virus, I still don't feel right it takes a few weeks to clear up, , as the others say I'd see your GP and have a chat, take care

Hi mcglada0

It can be really tuff going through pain when you are really not sure what it really is that is wrong with you. But like Trikki say maybe you really need to go back and see your gp. I cannot add anything more that what Trikki has said she has given you some good advice. I truly wish you well and take good care of yourself. 🤗🤗🤗🌺🌹🌷🌸xxx Jan101

Thank you x

I think it's the Senekot that gp gave me. He said it was mild and wouldn't make me ill. I've been sick all day. So nauseous. Gp said they wouldn't have adverse effect.

Hi there

Seonokot is very strong even at a small dose.

There are lots of other things that you can try instead.

Personally I can't tolerate it at all. It makes me feel extremely ill.

Lu xx

Thanks for your input. I do think it's the senecio that's made me feel so sick. I'm on my feet today but feel nauseous and so sore. It's so reassuring to have such lovely people to chat with on this site . X

Yes -it's done the same to me. Think fibro makes a lot of us intolerant of meds.

U are not letting them down at all. I believe something is out their not sure what but who ever or what ever it is has to be testing us, some of what I say some times sounds wrong or silly but I along with all on here are always here for u to talk to or share happy things with or just have a moan lol u will pick up and learn what to do about ur pain sometimes with me it's a bath loads of painkiller an not getting out of bed but that doesn't make u a bad person that's shows ur strong to do another day hour or min always here love an soft hugs from sue xx

I felt really low last week Drs increased medication feel loads better, need to pace yourself and make sure you rest. Sleep if your tired during the day.

I think we've all been there at some point honestly I have gotten to the point where I've not wanted to be alive that was before I learnt to accept that I had fibromyalgia and that I would always have it I spent countless hours searching the internet for the miracle cure I was going to get better drove myself mad trying every food, vitamin, supplement, wishing on stars everyday praying to a god I'm not even sure I believe in why me ! Constant guilt that I can't do the fun things with my kids or find the energy for quality time with my partner after I'd spent 3 years doing all this I decided to give in and accept it and instead of trying to beat fibromyalgia I researched about living with it instead honestly it wasn't long before I stared to have better days a lot less unbearable and when I do have a flare up I don't beat myself up about it and I just ride it out I found pregablin helps me also Epsom salt, magnesium lotion ,hot water bottle is a must have for me and I've just ordered a few vitamin supplement I've not already tried x

Hi mcglada0

I am so genuinely sorry to read this my friend and I sincerely hope that your pain eases for you soon. Please do not be offended but I have pasted you the telephone number for the Samaritans below. I have done this out of friendship for a fellow sufferer:

The Samaritans UK - Telephone: 116 123 (UK)

Please talk to your doctor as well about how you are feeling my friend, as they may be able to help you by tweaking your medications a little.

I want to sincerely wish you all the best of luck and please take care of yourself my friend.

All my hopes and dreams for you

Ken

Hi there

How are you feeling today? Please let us know how you get on at the doctors.

Gentle hugs Lu xx

Hi and thanks for your concern. I've stopped being sick but still nauseous. Dr as usual was lovely but really doesn't know what to do with me. I am the perfect example of good health according to my blood results! I'll probably have to live with this horrible disease till

I'm 100! However, he could see how weak I was and really doesn't have an answer. I take pregabalin which I have taken for a long time and 1-2 tramacet in the evening . I really don't know if I should wean myself off all medication . I think we're all in the same boat - trial and error. I hope that your pain isn't too bad just now and you're enjoying the warm weather. Xx

Hi :)

Have you ever been referred for any help, for example Pain Management, Pain Clinic, Physio, CBT?

If not your GP can refer you for these things.

Some people have found CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) extremely helpful.

If you are already prone to depression Pregabalin (in my humble opinion) is not the best medication to be on.

The sister drug Gabapentin works in much the same way. Perhaps swapping to that one may be something you could discuss with your GP?

I personally could not cope without my meds, but I do have very severe symptoms with my Fibro, ME, HMS, PTSD, anxiety and depression.

Have you ever used the organisation MIND? They offer free counselling with a Project Worker and courses that you can attend.

Here is their website mind.org.uk

I hope you find some of this useful.

Gentle hugs Lu xx

Thank you so much for your informative text. I am so sorry that you have so many medical problems. You sound such an upbeat, positive person. I will take you suggestions on board and go onto the MIND site. X

Aw. Thank you. To be honest I don't feel that way! I'm often told what a negative person I am.

I was diagnosed with Fibro & ME in 1980 so have lived with it (plus other conditions) for 36 years.

You never get used to being in pain 24/7, but if I can help just one person, it does lift my spirits.

I have used MIND myself many times over the years and was incredibly lucky to have such an amazing Project Worker.

They enable you to just sit and pour out your feelings for an hour per week. I found it incredibly helpful.

The hardest thing is making that first phone call to them. After that I haven't looked back.

Please keep us up to date with how you are feeling.

We all get very upset when we know our other friends (members) are very down.

We understand because we all get that way from time to time.

I think the best thing is to take it one day at a time. When my anxiety gets really bad I have to take it an hour at a time.

I rarely plan anything and just do things on the spur of the moment as and when I can.

I also feel a burden to my family and am fiercely independent :) My daughter gets very cross with me when I am struggling to do something and asks me why I haven't asked for help.

The good thing about our forum is that there is always someone around to chat to 24/7.

Keep your chin up my friend. There is lots to explore and do ask your GP for a referral to a Pain Clinic because there is at least a 6-12 month waiting list.

Take care of yourself

Lu xx

You are so encouraging! 36 years is a long time to live with this horrible condition and I would totally agree that you never get used to the pain. People say that fibro flares and subsides but mine has yet to subside. However, I'm a novice compared with you! I've had this horrible condition for 5 years.

I think you're correct about not planning in advance. I hard 2 grandkids ( another on way ) and I do a lot of childcare then beat myself up when I'm too unwell to manage.

Anyway thanks again for all your advice and concern. Everyone on this site is so caring and friendly. I hope I can help others like I've been helped.

I'm here to chat if that ever helps you. Xx

I feel the same ☹️
