GP receptionist called me yesterday for me to pick up a letter from my gp and she wants me to go for a x-ray of my chest and for me to take my temperature morning and night. She said as promised spoke to her other colleagues and she has also made a appointment for me next week. They are looking into why I am having the night sweats. I am very lucky to have a surgery like I have as you normally can phone up and get a appointment to see a gp that day even if it's not your own gp but 7 times out off 10 if you phone first thing in the morning you can get to see your own gp. My sister can not believe the service here with the GPs and our hospital. I am very lucky to live where I live and I am only 5 minutes from the hospital. So most of the time they do get things right but this time for me there has been a bit of a hiccup. So all in all I suppose I mustn't complain to much.

Having worked as a GP receptionist I dont really understand the fuss about appts, we had (on a daily basis) so many that were 'book on the day' ie you had to ring on the day for one of these and so many that were 'pre bookable' but only up to about 2 weeks in advance. We also had 2 'emergency' appts at the end of every surgery...a sick child or really poorly adult were never turned away. The doc would sometimes even see them before the start of afternoon surgery...this system seemed to work quite well..dont know if the pts felt the same!
Sounds like you worked in a surgery like the one that I am with. They are very good and understanding if you are really poorly. They will do there upmost to get you in to see the gp. I just feel for the others that don't have a good surgery like mine. My sister has to write a note to her gp and he will always make a appointment for her as he knows that she never troubles him unless she really needs to see him. I think he knows what the receptionists are like at his surgery. I truly hope that you are feeling as well as you can be. Take good care of yourself. Jan π€π€π€πΉπ·πΊ xxx
I am very lucky especially when I read and hear what other people have to put up with it's totally unacceptable. I understand surgerys are really busy but some receptionist think that they are above themselves and the way they talk to people is really terrible.
I am sure you would like it here not only for the surgery but it's very lovely where I live. π I will let you know how I get on. Take good care of yourself. Jan π€π€π€πΉπ·πΊπΈxxx
Thank you my friend. I will let you know how I get on. I am sure it is something simple that they can put right. Take good care of yourself. Jan π€π€π€πΉπ·πΊπΈ xxxx
I want to genuinely wish you all the best of luck with this, and I truly hope that you get some answers and treatment. I tend to book my appointments using the online service that my surgery has unless I need it that day and I ring in about 8am. Please take care of yourself.
I am not sure that the oil had much to do with it. My gp has got me to do a chest x-ray I think it's to look at my lynth nodes. But the last few nights I have only slept with a light cover and kept my room cool and they have got better. Gp has also asked me to take my temperature morning and night.
I truly wish you all the best of luck with the oils. It would be lovely to know how you get on with them. Take good care of yourself. Jan π€π€πΊπΈπΉπ·xxx
