I will be watching. Don't watch much TV but watched his programmes on Catch up after someone recommended them and he actually comes across as a really genuine caring doctor.x

He does. Uses integrative medicine. It takes time. Could be why the allocated at 10 minutes is too short.

That is why I think I am having more success with the Chinese medicine/acupuncturist rather than the NHS acupuncturist as he has time to find out about how the whole of me is functioning not just the bit that is hurting most. He has given me advice on diet, rest, etc which they would normally not have time to do in the NHS.

As he says they are fully trained but under the NHS they have set procedures for different kinds of pain, the needles are stuck in and twiddled and they probably have several patients being tested simultaneously so really don't have chance to ask more than perfunctory questions. 10 minutes is just not sufficient especially if it is one ailment per visit. We all know that different illnesses can have effect on others so I always feel it has to be taken as a whole story not a chapter in order to come to the best solution. It might initially take more time but I swear in the long run they would save time and be more likely to help someone x

Brilliant series. Also shows how ineffective GPs can can be. Although they can help with many things, we are often rushed through the appointment due to lack of time. Sometimes, it definitely worth looking for different ways to help ourselves. If only we could do what this Doctor does.

Hi, I am not new to Fybromyalga , but to your forum. Any Forum. I thought the Doctor in the House did Fybromyalga sufferers an injustice and if people dealing with depression or just trying to cope explaining to people, how they feel, is to me, and I assume to other people seeing this programme go out ,could be most damaging. It was left very ambiguous at the end.

It was for the doctor's fame and notoriety, not ours. He makes complex problems seem simple, but they are not and in today's health care system we do not need him involving himself in complex issues, which can undermine suffers and people around them. He tired to do, as we all know what the program is about, but it doesn't ring true this time. Reduced medI cation , will make people feel better and a getter dit. Do will a spell of remission, after a bad attack!!!.

We all deal with different daily problems, weight loss, which is not just about diet, but the fight we have with those energy, and pain issues daily , do not need to be undermined .

I think Fybromyalga was given little explanation, and was mis represented amoungst other heath issues.
