I suffer with burning feet, which is worse when I rest and my knees dream with pain. Does anybody else have this problem with fibromyalgia. My doctor is very unsupportive and says it anxiety when I know it's fibromyalgia. Very fed up with our medical people who dismiss because they can't help. Hope everybody out there is well

Hello Hidden
I just wanted to wish you a very warm welcome to the forum
I personally don't suffer with burning feet, but I do seem to have every other symptom going.
Have you tried rubbing Magnesium Oil into your feet?
If your GP is not supportive if I were you I would change my GP or even surgery.
With Fibromyalgia it is really important to have an understanding GP.
If you take a look at our mother site you will find lots of information on there fmauk.org
Once again a very warm welcome
Wishing you a peaceful day

Yes, i deal with feet and knee issues. My feet are usually worse first thing in the morning, and my knees if i have to stand a lot. I have to balance rest and working; My body can't rest too much either.
The medical field is filed with different people with different understandings of things and studied under different people. I have never met a Dr that understood or could tell me anything about fibro.
But I've had two really good massage therapists that knew how to work with my body and help me improve. One of them shared a bit of her understanding which wasn't much but answered some of my questions.
I feel (personally) that i find better help in the alternative medical field and get shut down by traditional Dr's.
I hope you can find help.
Take care××××

One of my flare ups come from my foot. Think i have a bone spur there. It is so annoying and it burns on the side of my foot. I might cut it off lol.
Hello and a warm welcome to our friendly fibro forum where you can find help, support, advice and understanding.
I am sorry to hear of your burning feet and aching knees. Whilst it is true that a lot of fibromites suffer with burning feet, it is not the only cause, and I feel your GP is fobbing you off without further investigation.
It is the same with aching joints, has he definitely ruled out arthritis? Have you had recent blood tests or xrays?
If you feel that every symptom is being put down as fibro then in all honesty it is time to change your doctor.
Hoping to see you joining in around the forum.

Hi yes get painful feet often often after walking a fair bit but sometimes just happens like being tortured often to outside small toe side
I have acupuncture mostly on my feet found helps and if your feet feel good so do you
I have just booked in for some acupuncture I hope it helps me.
I get burning feet and knees, I am having a very bad flare up, struggling to get out of bed. The pain is all over my body, my doctor has given me co-codamol today not taken it yet, may have to later tonight before I sleep.
Hi. Burning feet is a nightmare for me. I can't get a strong pain killer only nortriptyline. I had a flare on Sunday and went to casualty dept who said it was the flu lol and sent me home. It was all I could do to walk as my energy had gone. Now I am dizzy and have the dreaded brain fog.
